Now when he met her, he was first suspicious of her when he heard her call moonpie in the hospital ward. At that time, nobody other than her was present in the ward.

Most people would think that he was extremely narcissistic and arrogant to think like this, but rich and beautiful people are the most pitiful in these cases. They have to judge everybody if they are coming for their beauty, power or if the person really likes and loves them.
This was imbibed in Xi Ting’s bones from his childhood. Countless people came to him to curry favour. They would also send their daughters in hopes that he would like them and they would benefit from the marriage alliance.
This was the reason that Xi Ting had a very few friends who he treated genuinely. They were all from top families and he knew that they didn’t really need to befriend him to gain any benefits. All of them kept their personal and professional lives separate.
