Even though Xu Lei was an A-list actor before, there was no guarantee that she could return to her previous position now. Countless rumours were circulating about her condition. Nobody knew the real condition Xu Lei was in.
The Xu parents and Xu Dong had protected Xu Lei from the outside world too well. So, now there was no guarantee that she could return to her prime.
But Qin Yan was offering her the pay of an A-lister. Why? Why would she risk it?
This question was finally worded out by Xu Lei herself, "Miss, although I was an A-list actor before, there is no guarantee that I can return to my prime even if my legs get healed. Then why are you taking such a big risk?"
Qin Yan gazed into Xu Lei’s curious eyes and replied, "Miss Xu, I have seen your acting and your talent. Rather than trusting you, I trust myself more. My prediction never goes wrong. Once you get healed, you will revert back to your peak at a double pace. I don’t lose anything here. In fact, by making you sign a ten year contract, I am gaining too much."
"Moreover, you don’t have to worry about anything else. You just have to focus on recuperating and then on working hard. Opportunities will be provided by the company. Am I clear now?" Qin Yan asked.
The Xu family looked at each other and saw happiness in each other’s eyes. They found it hard to believe that such good things could happen to them after such a bad time.
Xu Dong raised his head and looked at Qin Yan, "In that case miss, we agree to your offer. If you don’t mind, can I ask you another question?"
"Go ahead," Qin Yan approved.
"Are you really confident that you can cure Xu Lei’s legs?"
Honestly, Qin Yan wasn’t sure either but she knew giving it a try was better than giving up. If she would have performed the surgery then she could say with confidence that it would be successful. But she wasn’t that sure about Lu Che.
