Chapter 31: Commercial Blows are Necessary
After returning to Konoha, Nagasawa asked Kakashi to rent a room at the inn for Hanabira as a temporary residence. Then he took the mission objective and went straight to the Hokage building.
After walking to the door of the Hokage's office, Nagasawa knocked on the door.
Since Minato became the Hokage, he almost came to the Hokage's office every two or three days, so he was familiar with the route even though he had never entered Hokage's office prior to Minato becoming Hokage.
Minato, who was dealing with paperwork, heard a knock on the door and politely said, "Please come in."
Nagasawa opened the door, and after placing the intel on Minato's desk, he said with a smile, "Thankfully, I did not let you down this time. The mission is a success. In addition to the intel about the three Kusagakure Shinobi that we held captive, I also brought the intel about the Kusagakure Shinobi that I killed."
A hint of joy flashed across Minato's face, but he was not in a hurry to open the file bag. Instead, he smiled and said, "As expected of Nagasawa. You actually came back so quickly. It hasn't even been two weeks since you left. Cutting off the time during your travel, I believe you only take at most a week to complete this mission. Inviting you to Anbu is definitely one of the best things I have ever done in my life.
Nagasawa smiled and teased, "Minato, after you became the Hokage, your speech skill has also improved a lot. Flattery won't get you nowhere, you know."
"Well, I'll be sure to hold back a little. I know you don't really handle compliments well. After all, you are an ordinary Chunin." Minato teased back with a smile.
Nagasawa didn't mind and said with a smile, "You really got me, Minato."
Who didn't like to be praised? He was not a masochist who would be excited after being humiliated.
Of course, that depended on who praised him. If it were just a passer-by who had no skill or reputation, he would not be pleased whatsoever.
