In the end, Morishita got what he wished.
However, he did not commit suicide but was killed by "Root". He died at his home with his heart pierced by Chidori.
According to Anbu's inspection, it should belong to the Root Shinobi that disguised himself as an Iwagakure Shinobi, as he could use Thunder-Release.
Another evidence was the letter "Root" near Morishita's corpse. Anbu Shinobi thought that it was Morishita's dying message.
