Signing-In: The Lazy Moon Goddess

Somewhere at the dark side of the Dawn Star...

In some kind of hidden forest area on the planet, a few demonic cultivators were carrying a few cages with children in it. Among the cage there is a specially made one that not only chained a young boy but also wrapped him into a thin cloth like a mummy. If not for the light ups and down of his chest, one would think that the young boy is dead.

"Is the kid dead?"

"No, there is a breathing sound?"

"How can a pureblood like him die so easily?"

"Isn’t this job too dangerous? If those from the Yue Clan heard about this we are all dead."

"Didn’t they say that the reincarnated Moon Goddess is vengeful? She even placed a curse on a whole race just because the Fairy Queen ordered some fairies to hunt people from the Moon Clan."

They illegally slip through the slaves into the hidden tunnel with the help of one of the traitors of the authority on this planet. They had been working for the Death Valley and knew more about their connections to the other powers and how most of this relationship is hidden. The Death Valley is considered a den for demonic cultivators yet the Fairy Race which is considered an ally to the Immortal Star Empire is working with them in the dark.

Inside the dark cave, Yue Zhiya who was tightly tied up can barely move. However, maybe because they had underestimated him for being a brat, they didn’t use any tool to seal his qi, just a few clothes that restricted his movement. He pretended to be asleep only when the whole place was dark and there were no more adults in the area. He finally opened his eyes and spread his divine consciousness to observe his surroundings.

Yu Zhiya’s thoughts, ’Two Huashen realm cultivators as guards. Those demonic cultivators from before are no longer around. I should be able to escape tonight or at least when the sun has set.’

Meanwhile, at the nearby manor located near a riverside, Young Master Su Liyi had invited the Moon Goddess, the Elf King and their subordinates to take a look. The manor was located near a clean river while surrounded by trees. This is a vacation manor of one of the elders that supports the young master in handling this planet.

Yue Xuexia looked around with an expressionless face while following behind her were Young Master Su Liyi and the owner of the manor who agreed to rent the place. Since the decision was made by the Moon Goddess, the others didn’t run around and waited at the door. As for the Elf King, he had longed to check the area and suddenly smirked.

He only said one word, "How interesting~." Then he disappeared to the second floor, unaware of what he planned to do.

Young Master Su Liyi said, "Is this place to your liking, your majesty? If not then can we still check the rest of the houses we prepared for you?"

Yue Xuexia checked the whole manor and was quite satisfied with it. She looks at Tan Bingyu and nods her head. Like her great grandfather, Elf King Andromeda, she climbs to the second floor and looks for a room where she will stay. As for talking to the Young master Su Liyi and the owner of the house, she decided to leave it to her aide.

Young Master Su Liyi only noticed the Moon Goddess glance at him and the owner of the manor and light nods at them. The young man was dazed by her hidden beauty while the elder beside him immediately clasped his hand in response. Only when Yue Xuexia had left for the second floor did Tan Bingyu step in, holding a small tray in her hand with a jade bottle and a middle grade artifact which Young Master Su Liyi can barely move his eyes away from. It was given to the two of them.

Tan Bingyu said, "The Mistress is satisfied with the manor. Please accept this gift from her. We plan to stay here for a month if nothing happens. If there is something you need do visit us over but do not bring too many people and don’t come too frequently. Even though the mistress might not mind, Lord Andromeda might not like it."

The words of Tan BingyuBingyu haven’t completely registered to the ears of the two people in front of her as they were even more delighted by the gift from the Moon Goddess. The dagger is a nice middle grade artifact which Young Master Su Liyi had fallen in love with at first sight. As for the elder who owns the manor, he only lightly opened the jade bottle and a single sniff was all he needed to know how precious the pill was given to him by the Moon Goddess. He immediately put this in his most secure hiding spot in his body. Just based on his reaction, it is definitely a treasure much more expensive than the manor itself.

The elder said, "Young miss, don’t worry. We will not allow guests to bother the Goddess unless they possess a noble standing. This I promise you."

The senior, seeing that his little master had lost his thoughts to the artifact in his hand, can only pinch him to wake him up from his state and gestured with his eyes that the little master should do his job properly.

"Young master, please do your job," the elder whispered.

Young Master Su Liyi, seeing that he had lost himself from the gift he had received, felt embarrassed seeing the eyes that had fallen on him. He immediately pretended to be a good gentleman. After keeping his treasure, he pulled an exquisite gold invitation from his robes and gave it to Tan Bingyu with both of his hands.

"This is an invitation to the Trading Center’s Treasure Auction three days from now on. Well... This is actually an auction that happens on our plants every year and also the reason why the visitors were restricted. If the Goddess and the Senior were interested please come to the city and the highest building is where the venue for the auction will be. With this invitation you will be able to attend the auction." The young owner of the planet explained.

Xue Renxue accepted the invitation and said, "If the Mistress is interested then we will be there. We are a bit tired. Forgive us for not being able to entertain you further."

These words were enough for the young master and the senior beside him to realize that they were being asked to leave. However, after learning they had been journeying into space for weeks or months and they can understand why they said that they were tired.

Young master Su Liyi said, "Then please contact us if you need something. This is our communication orb. We will leave one in your care."

"Thank you. I will contact you if the Mistress has decided to come to the auction," Tan Bingyu said as she accepted the orb.

Meanwhile on their way back to the office, Young master Su and the senior who was with him exchanged gazes. Both were interested in the gifts they had received from the Moon Goddess, however, they didn’t directly ask each other.

The Senior asked, "About the gifts we had received, does the young master wish to report it to the clan?"

"It’s just small gifts. As long as the elder didn’t mention it himself we can just pretend to not receive anything," young master Su Liyi said while smiling like a sly fox.

The elder was just another sly fox and an old one at that. The two of them knew that the presents they got from the other group were too precious. Just how many in the Immortal World possessed a sentient artifact like the one Su Liyi had received. As for the pill the elder got, even though Su Liyi didn’t know what kind of pill it was, just based on the reaction of the elder it must be extremely precious.

The elder said, "The young master had done it well this time. I will report this merit to the old master."
