Knights and Magic Wand

Chapter 817 - 381: Twin Realms Operation

The alliance banner of the sword-bearing griffin fluttered against the broken city walls, rustling in the morning wind. The light of dawn spilled over the land of the Southern Mountain Territory, an area long steeped in splendor. The battle had just ended, and the ancient city of Kantadar was still shrouded in the smell of burning corpses and decay. The former glory, under the erosion of the undead calamity, now left only faint shadows.

A cavalcade of several hundred riders entered this ancient city, garrisoned by an army, along the broken roads, traversing the grand avenue lined with withered vines on the high walls.

The Holy War Army soldiers cleared the path for the blue sea eagle banners along the way. When they saw the mages following the blue-robed knights at the back of the procession, the warriors instinctively felt curious. Hearing the clear cry of eagles from the sky, the soldiers of the Holy War Army looked up to see the giant beast totem engraved on their banner. Fresh from a fierce battle, the soldiers felt an immediate sense of encouragement, engaging in endless discussions.

The entourage came to a halt in front of the fortress in the city. Agatha stepped forward to open the carriage, and the armored Ines emerged from the carriage. Finally released from the long and bumpy journey, she took a deep, if a bit ungraceful, breath of relief.

Leading the sinful mages, who were "exiled" under her brother’s compromise, without stopping, she sailed south to Wind Breath Port, and immediately crossed half of Kantadar. After nearly a month of rapid travel, she finally arrived at the front line of the Holy War Army. Such a long trek was indeed a torment for her.

The continuous calls of "Your Highness" and gestures of salutation recalled Ines to the present, prompting her to return the greetings to those who had come to welcome her.

Not far away, a swiftly descending white giant beast landed with a thud.

At some point, a Death Claw poked its head out from the fortress tower, calling to its fellow kind that carried a human.

Immediately after, another griffin with cyan feathers and adorned with a solar headdress flew onto the city wall, rhythmically calling as if greeting the new arrival.

The paler griffin that landed in front of the fortress appeared slightly larger, seemingly older. With its armored body, it lowered itself as the burly lord leaped down from the saddle on its back before raising its eagle head to respond with cries to the two young compatriots on the tower wall.
