Chapter 167 A Dance Too Long
The orchestra changed the song they were playing before to another song, this one was slower than the first one.
Our movement slowed to match the pace of the music.
"If you continue staring at me like this at this rate, you might bore a hole into my head." I looked up to meet his gaze.
"You are very beautiful, Princess." He muttered under his breath.
"Thank you for the compliment, sir..."
"Damon."
We continued dancing past the time we should have ended it. The other Fae were waiting impatiently for us to finish.
Unknowing to me, a look of displeasure marred the Fae King’s face.
"If I may ask sir Damon, why did you refer to me as Ember? Who is she?" I didn’t want to probe into his life, but I needed to know why.
Damon’s brows knitted together, as if he were contemplating whether to tell or not. But a few seconds later his lips parted. "Ember... She looks just like you. The same hair, face, eyes, and height."
"Oh really?" I frowned at his words.
Damon nodded. "She is my mate... but due to a big misunderstanding, which led to an accident. She went missing for fourteen days now... on the day of her birthday..."
