Chapter 58 Smell Trouble
Theo’s jaws clenched, his fists clenched so tight that his knuckles whitened. "Thank the goddess that my father had warned me not to lay a hand on you. I would have made you see stars right now." He turned away, seething in anger, his footsteps thudding against the tiles.
My throat tightened. At this rate, I might really end up dying from anger and a heart attack. ’Did I take that too far?’ I pressed my lips into a thin line.
I followed him, a chill ran through me, as I wondered what could be the reason I was being called. Not too long after, we arrived at the door to his room.
"Come in, Ember." Damon’s hoarse voice rang from the other side of the door. I took a deep breath to calm my racing heart before reaching for the door’s knob. I glanced over my shoulder, and I saw Theo stood still, his gaze sharp like a razor. His jaws clenched.
I had no idea why he hated me that much, but whatever it was, it sounded like his problem. I entered the room, shutting the door behind me.
As I stepped into the room, waves of nostalgic feeling crashed through me. Although I had not spent too much time in this room, it held so many memories... memories I wish I could erase. It was like a reminder of how my tale of being a pet began.
The strong smell of vape filled the room, which for a strange reason looked so dark even when the sun was still burning brightly outside. I walked further into the room, and just at the corner, I saw a figure sitting on a majestic chair. His poise was regal, yet it looked mournful. His raven-black hair was ruffled, some strands covering his face, the first few buttons of his black-sleeve shirt were open, revealing his hard-toned chest.
He stared at the locket in his hand with an unreadable expression. He brought the pipe to his mouth again, dragging it before letting the smoke flow freely from his nostrils and his mouth.
"M... Master?"
