Chapter 608 - 245 Picturesque Scenery (Part 2)_2
Xiang Wei also felt that Xi Yu was not bad, observant, bold yet meticulous, and reliable. She could be nurtured to become an arm of support in the future.
Yueyao was wholly invested this time, starting off by forgetting the outside world, completely immersed in her own realm.
Seeing that one small heater was not enough, Xi Yu pleaded with Xiang Wei to fetch another one. In this icy, snowy weather, the young lady had been squatting motionless for so long, one heater simply would not suffice.
In the past, Xiang Wei had also witnessed Yueyao painting, but she had never seen her so engrossed. She thus heeded Xi Yu’s suggestion and went down the mountain to fetch the heater. Actually, according to Xiang Wei, piling up a bonfire would be more useful, but that would ruin the scenery.
To Yueyao’s left and right, small stoves were placed. Xi Yu occasionally added Silver Frost Charcoal to keep the charcoal fire burning vigorously. It was also thanks to Xi Yu’s attentiveness that Yueyao was able to persist and complete the painting.
After the painting was completed, everyone stared at it blankly.
Instead of depicting the entire Plum Blossom Forest, Yueyao had painted a young girl in a fiery red cloak standing under a tree laden with white plum blossoms, her hands raised cradling a dew-laden plum flower, revealing a radiant and charming smile, as sunlight precisely shone on the girl, casting a golden glow about her.
Mingzhu belatedly exclaimed, "Ah, the girl in the painting somewhat resembles me."
The model for the young girl in Yueyao’s painting was indeed Mingzhu. Of course, her face was not featured, as a lady’s appearance must not be shown to outsiders.
Bai Yi reminded her, "Miss, the cloak in the painting is the same one you are wearing." Bai Yi actually quite liked the painting as well, finding it very realistic and beautiful.
