Chapter 590: The Dark Figure
All of us stared at the crowd of androids that simply surrounded us without doing anything.
What’s going on now? First they try to kill us, next they’re just standing there...
I wasn’t the only one who thought so as the others were also looking at the androids in confusion, though they still made sure their weapons were raised and ready to fire at any time.
"What’s... What are they doing?" One of the pirates asked.
"I don’t know... Maybe they’re mocking us or something?"
"Maybe there’s some kind of restriction where they can’t get close to us here?
Wait... Is it...
I turned back to look at the pedestal that we were currently surrounding.
I quickly realised that it wasn’t actually a pedestal but more of a console that was mounted on a stand instead.
Unfortunately, there was still a shield around it and when I tried to push my hand through it, I found my hand pressing up against a solid wall instead. So this wasn’t the type of shield you could just walk through.
Hmm... Do they have some kind of command in place that restricts them from getting close to this console? They weren’t even shooting at us anymore so maybe the command also extended to stopping them from attacking anyone around this console?
Well... That’s all just speculation but even if that’s true... It doesn’t change the fact that we’re surrounded...
