All the students present in the dormitory courtyard especially the upperclassmen the second and third-year students were utterly stunned by Adam’s audacious declaration.
They couldn’t believe what they were hearing. He had not only rejected their offers their invitations to join their powerful groups.
He had also exposed the predatory nature the ugly truth of their established system to the entire incoming class of first-years. It was an unprecedented act of defiance an unbelievable challenge to their authority.
Then from the crowd of nervous first-years the boy with the slightly brown-tinted skin stepped forward. He had a look of intrigued amusement on his face.
He was clearly enjoying the chaos.
This of course was the powerful demon who had disguised himself as a human to infiltrate the Academy. He had his own secret plans.
"So," he asked his voice carrying an almost playful curiosity as he looked at Adam "what exactly are you trying to say to all of us? What is your point?"
Adam’s gaze shifted to the demon boy.
A faint knowing smile touched Adam’s lips. He recognized the subtle non-human energy that was emanating from the boy. He knew this was not a normal human.
"My purpose in sharing this information with all of you is singular," Adam replied his voice calm and clear. He was not fooled by the demon’s disguise.
He then turned his attention back to the rest of the first-year students.
