Chapter 121: A New Faction
Samba the representative of the red-banded group the Red Flame faction stepped forward again. His friendly smile widened as he began his sales pitch.
He was trying to recruit Eric. "Join the Red Team Eric," he said. His voice was smooth and persuasive trying to sound very convincing.
"We have the most skilled students in our faction especially in combat magic. And more importantly we have unrestricted access to the Academy’s main library. You can read any book you want whenever you want."
Before Samba could elaborate further before he could list more benefits of his group the representative of the yellow-banded group a tall fair-haired student named Tuck cut him off.
Tuck waved his hand dismissively as if Samba’s words were unimportant.
"Samba stop your nonsense," Tuck said his tone one of amused superiority.
He clearly thought his group was much better. He then took a step closer to Eric. His gaze was direct and very confident.
"The Golden Group," he announced using his faction’s more formal name "is the strongest student group in this Academy. We are the reigning champions of the Inter-Academy Group Championship. We have won it for eleven consecutive years. No other group can match us."
Tuck paused for a moment. He let the weight of that incredible achievement sink in.
He wanted Eric to be impressed.
"Like the Red Team we also have access to the main library," he conceded admitting they were equal in that regard.
