Chapter 104: Dog Blood
Leon sprawled on the balcony of Dome Castle and dozed off, still unable to figure out what game that Blue Dragon was playing.
So far, he knew that his Catastrophe Blade had not let him down, rewarding his effort to find materials in the Dark Territory and the Evil Flame Fire Giant at Black Volcano. Paired with the Shadow-breaking Strike, it could even cut off the Blue Dragon’s horn with a single sword stroke.
Considering that he had chopped off the Blue Dragon’s horn, he should have the upper hand in that battle. This meant his fighting power could now surpass that of an Adult Blue Dragon, although it was just a Blue Dragon that had recently reached adulthood... Teenage dragons were already so strong, who knows how powerful they would become once they were fully grown.
Leon raised a claw and scratched his head, the rows of horns along his cheeks and under his jaw reminding him that he had been in this world for a decade or two. For many protagonists of novels, that was already enough time to achieve fame and success. Seemed like it wasn’t such a big deal after all.
Anyway, he had just fought a battle. Although the actual fight wasn’t too long, there was quite a bit of drawn-out aerial combat... It is said that when two hostile dragons clash, they often spend minutes, or even hours circling each other, roaring from afar. It turned out to be true, and Leon really felt somewhat tired.
Leon yawned, thinking of taking a nap, at least to rest for a short while.
The Blue Dragon had just run away in the recent fight. Apart from its horn missing the tip, it was hardly injured. Leon couldn’t let his guard down, settling into a hen squat to rest with his front claws stretched out and hind claws hidden underneath his body, resembling a hen huddling over its eggs when sleeping, ready to jump into battle at any sign of disturbance.
Just as he was about to close his eyes, Leon noticed a huge Blue Dragon squatting on top of the hill next to Molten Lava Lake.
Seeing the Blue Dragon, there was no way Leon could sleep. He immediately spread his wings and flew toward the hilltop.
According to the rules, an Adult Blue Dragon could only use its Legendary Resistance three times a day, but those rules were created for tabletop game sessions. The real world couldn’t possibly be confined to just those standards.
With the immobilization spell proving ineffective, Leon really had no good way to deal with an enemy that was both powerful and clever, capable of flying and digging. If possible, he didn’t want to be enemies with it.
