Tale of the Red Dragon Without Dragon’s Might

Chapter 103: The Confused Battle

Leon indeed wouldn’t travel thousands of miles to Crystal Mountain to trouble an adult Blue Dragon.

His rationality was indeed influenced to some extent by the Red Dragon body, but not to the point of madness.

However, now that the Blue Dragon had actually come over, hovering over his territory for some unknown purpose, Leon really couldn’t find any excuse to be a coward; at the very least, he had to ask what the other party’s intentions were.

To know oneself and one’s enemy is to be invincible in a hundred battles. Leon certainly wouldn’t charge in rashly; the first thing he did was to carefully observe the Blue Dragon, to assess it... The distance was too far, honestly, it was impossible to tell anything significant, unable to determine if the Blue Dragon was of regular size, or smaller or larger than average.

Under such a circumstance, he could only assume that it was a standard-sized Blue Dragon.

A standard-sized Blue Dragon that had just reached adulthood would, at most, have a Challenge Level of 14, or maybe 15 at the very highest; it definitely couldn’t be higher, at least until some time had passed in adulthood to reach 16. Then it would grow to an extra-large size, larger than him, but it was unknown whether it was an Innate Spellcaster, and how many Spells it had awakened...

After much consideration, Leon thought it was worth a try.

He reached out into the air as if piercing through the serene surface of a lake, sliding into the small space within the Sleeve of the Universe, and drew out the Catastrophe Blade. Then, facing the sunlight, he carefully observed the blade, thinking that he had never had the chance to use it until now, but had finally found the opportunity.

Leon put the sword back and lightly shook his head, spreading his wings and leaping down from the balcony of Dome Castle, then with a vigorous flap, he rose rapidly and sped towards the Blue Dragon.

The Blue Dragon wasn’t just passing by, it was circling in the sky, which gave Leon the opportunity to catch up for a close observation—

It was a quite standard extra-large Blue Dragon, far from being colossal. It had a short, thick neck, a broad, flat tail, and slightly green-tinted blue scales... Honestly, it wasn’t bad, quite handsome, but compared to Tassera it didn’t measure up.
