Apocalyptic World: Surviving with my husband and my cute little babies

Chapter 314: Celebration (1)

Over the next few days, Ethan and Elena stayed busy coordinating with the military regarding plans to evacuate the Camel Tower area.

And after much discussion, the leader of the military center, General Mason, along with General Kaiser’s persuasion, decided to commission the Paradise Shop to scout possible routes leading toward the main base.

As a result, one week of preparation was officially announced, ensuring everyone in the surrounding area heard about the evacuation plan and no one would be left behind—not even the smaller bases far from the military center.

At the moment, the entire area around the center was bustling with activity. However, Elena’s team was busy for an entirely different reason.

Today was the day she would formally introduce the triplets to everyone.

Well, she had already promised them that once the babies turned one month old, she would hold a simple celebration.

So right now, Elena was busy bathing the babies one by one, carefully cleaning and dressing them up into adorable little bundles.

"Stop playing, Leo. Mommy’s going to finish washing you now. You’ve been here too long, and your second brother is already waiting for his turn," Elena scolded gently.

Leo, the eldest, truly loved bathing and playing in the water. Because of that, he could not stop using his elemental ability, splashing water all over the tub in excitement.

Elena, now completely drenched, could only chuckle, as she simply could not get angry at her adorable eldest son.

So, Baby Leo cooed happily, wiggling his chubby feet and arms whenever Elena reprimanded him, as if they were merely playing together.

"Done," Elena said softly as she quickly wrapped him in a comfortable blanket.

Being taken out of the bath, Baby Leo scrunched his tiny forehead in disapproval, clearly wanting to continue playing in the water.

But before he could fuss, Elena planted a big smooch on his chubby cheeks.

Instantly, the energetic baby bubbled with happiness, all his frustration disappearing without a trace.

For that, Elena sighed helplessly before carrying him toward their bedroom, where Ethan was babysitting their two other sons.

Seeing them, Ethan quickly cleared the pillows as Elena gently placed Leo in front of him.

He then stared intently at the freshly cleaned baby, deep in thought.

"You actually managed to pull him out of the water... without him crying."

The last time Ethan had taken Leo out of the bath, the little boy had thrown a huge tantrum, summoning strong winds mixed with water that spun wildly inside the bathroom like a small tornado, turning the entire room into chaos.

It was all because his son had been completely furious at being interrupted while happily playing in the water.

Luckily, Ethan had managed to calm him down by feeding him his favorite milk.

Hearing his words, Elena frowned.

"What do you mean? Leo is the easiest one to take care of. He listens to me well, right, Leo?"

As far as Elena knew, the only times her eldest cried or threw tantrums were when he was hungry or when he missed her and could not find her nearby.

So in her eyes, Baby Leo was the easiest child to take care of.

Ethan chose not to comment any further, afraid he might provoke his wife even more.

Instead, he quietly took a milk bottle from his [Inventory] and began feeding the eldest.

Smiling in satisfaction, Elena shifted her attention to the other babies.

There it was Finn, happily listening to his parents’ banter while wiggling his tiny arms, clearly trying to get their attention.

Meanwhile, the youngest remained peacefully asleep, completely unbothered by the noise around him.

"Finn, you’re coming with Mommy for a bath," Elena said gently as she picked up the bewildered baby.

The moment he was held in his mother’s arms, Baby Finn cooed happily without stopping, raising his tiny hands as he tried to touch her face.

Elena quickly caught his little hands and gave them a soft smooch while walking toward the bathroom.

Along the way, two loyal bodyguards followed closely behind them.

They kept glancing at her second-born with puzzled expressions, as if she had stolen something precious from them.

Elena could only sigh, silently blaming this strange behavior on Finn’s ability.

"Poochi, Mimi, go back. Finn is with me. I’m just going to clean him up a bit," Elena explained.

Then she suddenly paused.

’Why was she seriously explaining things to their pets?’

Before she could think further, Poochi immediately barked in response.

"Aw~ aw~ awww!"

’Mistress, I just want to watch the young master take a bath.’

Then the sassy Mimi jumped onto a higher spot just to look at Baby Finn better.

"Meow~ meow~ meow~"

’Yeah. We just want to play.’

And so, Elena, along with Poochi and Mimi, entered the bathroom.

She cleaned Baby Finn while the two pets entertained him, keeping the cheerful baby happily occupied the entire time.

Not long after, Elena returned carrying the freshly bathed Baby Finn and gently placed him beside his eldest brother.

A bright smile appeared on Elena’s face as she looked at the heartwarming scene before her.

At the moment, Ethan was carefully feeding both boys, making sure the two brothers had their fill.

Seeing them settled down, Elena finally shifted her attention to the youngest, who was still peacefully lost in his beautiful dreams.

Unable to resist, she gently poked Baby Max’s chubby cheeks, trying to wake him up.

But there was no reaction at all.

So she leaned closer and gave him a small kiss, yet the baby remained completely unbothered.

This had always been Elena’s little problem with her youngest son.

Compared to his two older brothers, Baby Max slept longer and woke up much later.

"Sleepy baby, wake up..." Elena gently nudged Baby Max, as he had been sleeping for almost five hours already, and it was time for him to drink his milk.

Soon after, Baby Max slowly stretched his little arms and opened his beautiful sea-green eyes wide open.

The adorable sight instantly melted Elena’s heart.

So, without hesitation, she quickly took out her camera and recorded the moment for her growing baby collection.

The moment Baby Max saw his mother, an innocent smile immediately appeared on his tiny face, clearly happy to see her.

Unable to resist, Elena showered him with kisses and cuddles.

Only after giving him enough affection did she finally take his bottle and gently feed him.

Seeing the clock pointing close to 9 a.m., Elena decided it was time for Baby Max to have a quick bath as well.

"Done. Let’s take a bath now," Elena said softly as she carefully pulled the bottle away before cradling him against her shoulder.

"Look, Max, there’s your brother Leo and brother Finn. Let’s say good morning to your brothers first," Elena said happily.

This had already become part of their daily routine, making sure the triplets would grow close and familiar with one another.

"Daddy is here too."

As usual, Baby Max immediately started waving both his hands and legs, trying to communicate with his brothers and father in his own little way.

Elena chuckled warmly at the sight of the triplets interacting with each other.

After that, she briefly scanned their couple’s room.

Baby things were scattered everywhere, turning the entire room into a complete mess.

She would definitely need to clean it later.

Elena could only sigh softly. Being a mother was truly not easy.

Yet when her gaze landed on the pictures hanging on the walls, her heart instantly softened.

There were countless photos of her adorable babies posing beautifully for the camera, and every single one of them was worth cherishing.

Beside them were also their wedding photos and family portraits.

Thinking about the serious man in those wedding pictures, Elena unconsciously glanced toward Ethan, who was currently entertaining the two boys with unusually gentle expressions.

Things had truly changed.

Becoming parents had changed both of them greatly. Even her once cold demeanor had softened little by little.

Still, Elena quietly reminded herself of one important thing.

They were still living in an apocalypse.

And no matter how peaceful things felt right now, she could never allow herself to forget the lessons from her past life.

Not long after, Elena gently bathed her energetic third son while softly talking to him the entire time.

Though the baby could not understand her words yet, Elena simply wanted him to feel her presence and warmth.

After finishing, she returned to the bedroom and dressed the triplets in adorable animal suits that fit them perfectly.

"So handsome..."

Soft clicking sounds echoed through the room as she snapped photos from time to time, wanting to preserve every precious moment with the triplets.

Before Elena could continue taking pictures of them, sudden knocking came from outside the door, followed by the hushed chatter of several children debating whether they should disturb them or not.

It was already past 10 a.m., and everyone was currently waiting for them at the celebration venue.

And unable to contain her excitement, Little Mia had dragged Little Koby and Little Erick over, wanting to be the very first to see the triplets.

"Shhhh... Be quiet. Sis Ele probably already knows we’re here, so let’s just wait," Little Mia whispered seriously.

The two boys nodded obediently. And then, the door finally opened.

Elena appeared, cradling Baby Leo, while Ethan carried Baby Finn and Baby Max in his arms.

He then retrieved a stroller and carefully placed the triplets inside so the children could see them up close.

The kids immediately greeted the couple before their attention shifted completely toward the triplets.

Their eyes instantly sparkled with excitement.

"Sis Ele, they’re so cute in those outfits!"

Elena nodded proudly in agreement, thinking the babies looked absolutely adorable in their tiny clothes.

"They were the ones who chose them. They really love this kind of outfit. Do you want an animal suit too?" Elena teased gently.

Little Mia puffed her cheeks slightly before straightening her posture.

"Sis Elena, I’m already a big girl now. Mommy said I need to be mature and help take care of the babies."

Elena could only chuckle softly.

She could tell the little girl actually liked the outfits but was trying hard to act like an adult.

"Alright. If you want one, just tell Sis Ele, and I’ll find something that fits you," Elena suggested warmly.

Still, she had already secretly decided to prepare an animal suit for Little Mia later so the little girl could admire it privately without hurting her pride as a ’big girl.’

"Hmmp..." Little Mia responded happily, clearly already looking forward to receiving an animal suit.

Soon after, the children began entertaining the babies while pushing the stroller along the beautiful pathways inside Paradise.

The cheerful laughter and happy cooing of the triplets soon echoed throughout the surroundings.
