Chapter 108: Rosa and Jeremy
Rosa had waited so long to hear more about Violet. She wasn’t able to get much information other than she’s okay and safe and in her room. She wasn’t accepting visitors besides Ash by the time Rosa got there. Rosa was just over the moon Violet was home, safe and sound.
However, she was haunted by the memories of the attack. The smell out burnt corpses, and blood was so thick and overwhelming it was practically palpable. The twisted faces and bodies of wolves infected with wolfsbane. Chewed up arms of vampires, gashes in their bodies and necks. Clear evidence they were bitten by wolves.
Heads severed from bodies. Some corpses where even ripped in half. The sight of it all gagged Rosa and when she saw some of her classmates who lost their lives here, she vomited. The blood of people she loved seeped into the earth. Tainting the ground, she walked on. She heard some wolves managed to escape, Rosa really hoped Ursula was one of the wolves who got out. She had no way of finding out either. Except Violet. Violet was probably the last person to see her.
Rosa paced in the library, unable to sit still. Jeremy walked in and frowned seeing Rosa with so much angst.
"You’re gonna blaze a trail in my library if you don’t stop pacing." Jeremy teased with his typical voice of indifference.
Startling Rosa, quickly pulling her from her dazed state.
"Was I pacing?" Rosa had a worried expression resting on her face.
"You can also get lost in space while resting on the couch. You did a lot, last night. Go set down." Jeremy insisted.
Rosa and Jeremy’s relationship had changed a lot over the last few weeks. Things have gotten so confusing between her and Jeremy. The sexual tension between them was so thick it would need a steak knife to cut it. She wasn’t sure how to feel about whatever was going on between them, he still belonged to Violet, and she didn’t want to fall in love with a man she can’t have. What if her best friend ended up with Jeremy, if she loved him, it would break both hers and Violet’s hearts.
