Lethia truly wouldn’t mind if she and Renar gave in to each other right now. She was already drenched in arousal, her body aching with need. But if she let herself go and shoved on him like this, she’d feel like a bitch forcing herself on him. Instinctively, she crossed her arms over her chest, her skin prickling as Renar’s fingers remained on her back. The light touch made her bite her lower lip, a shiver running through her.
"You... don’t you remember?" Lethia asked, her cheeks flushing.
"The last thing I remember is coming in and locking my door. Did I turn into a beast and force you into this?"
She saw the way his ears tinged red. She wondered how hard he was fighting his arousal, trying to make sense of what had happened between them. A strange pang of sympathy hit her because he looked so lost.
"I told you, we were controlled by the fox spirit that possessed me. But I know I can’t prove it to make you believe me. So if you keep asking, I have no other explanation, that’s entirely up to you whether you believe me or not."
Renar held her gaze, his eyes trailing down her face, lingering at her neck. He was trying—desperately—not to look lower.
Then a low growl rumbled from his throat as his stiff length twitched, pressing insistently against her core.
Renar dangled at the edge of a fraying thread, his blood surging violently, his length straining with unbearable tension. His fingers dug into Lethia’s back, pulling a low, throaty growl from her lips.
"Argh..." Lethia jolted, her back arching.
The thick, intoxicating scent of honey clung to the air. It was so sharp, proof of her own arousal. It clawed at Renar’s senses, making it nearly impossible to think. He wanted to believe her words, but his instincts screamed otherwise.
