Steampunk Era: Mad Abield

Malin climbed the small hill and looked at the sea harbor district in the distance, the vast harbor ruins, the walls built by Chaos. For countless years in the past, Thanan people had never seen this port and the city it belonged to again.

But today, they could see it.

The commanders stood behind Malin, proud because they were the first Thanan army to reach this area since the great destruction. Yet, they were incredibly humble because the Malin before them had hunted a vast number of Chaos champions within just three days, slaying thirteen Great Demons, and uncountable Chaos Sorcerers.

Before today, no one would have believed such achievements, they would even laugh at such claims, for they seemed too exaggerated; even the Lord of Justice could not engage in such intense actions in this world.

But Malin’s achievements were observed by many, and the heads of those Great Demons could not have been faked.

The soldiers below the hill would not follow a failure. They came from various places, and in the past, they would only boast of their own valor when they gathered, belittling their foes and teammates. But today, not a single one dared to boast about themselves.

"The artillery positions are ready, Your Highness. What are your orders?" The most fervent believer in Malin, the artillery regiment commander, jogged up to the hilltop.

"Please instruct Zhang to personally command the assault on the walls; let’s open three large breaches within half an hour. I want to personally lead the soldiers into the city and cleanse the Chaos."

"Rest assured! If we can’t open the breaches within half an hour, I’ll personally use explosives to blow up those damned walls!" The Dwarf said this and hurried down the hill.

"Your Highness, you’re still gracious towards the Dwarves." The elf-looking Li, the defense officer, said with a smile.
