Chapter 891: Section 588: Confidence (Part 3)
The two groups of Chaotic Believers in the manor were sorely unlucky; Malin and Ails—two Legendary Casters—created a Spell Formation that turned the three-and-a-half-story building where they were into ruins, and eventually, it was only through the scattered trinkets on a number of corpses that Casaman could deduce that these were members of the cult he once belonged to.
In other words, it was them who summoned Good Fortune Sir, but as for the person who came to kill them and ultimately perished in the fire with them, their identity remained unconfirmed.
Speaking of which, why would they summon Good Fortune Sir? Casaman’s cult did not worship Good Fortune Sir. This question piqued Malin’s curiosity, but clearly, there was no one left to answer it. After these fellows died a violent death, their souls dissipated quickly; Ails managed to intercept two, but during verification, he found that the first soul was already mad, most likely having gone utterly insane when faced with a dead end—this is quite typical within Chaos Cults.
You see, everyone is a good friend in the chaos and evil, so it’s nothing strange stabbing each other, or even oneself. Thus, Ails gleefully accepted the soul of the Chaotic Believer, and Malin had no objection.
Another was an innocent citizen who had no idea why he was at the scene, only remembering his name was Hadagan. Malin purified this soul.
With a change in the situation, Malin and Ails had to use Spiritual Energy and Spell Formation to clear out everything from the ruins, eventually discovering a problem—there was an underground chamber in the manor with several corpses of innocent civilians who died of asphyxiation.
At the same time, they found one of the ’corpses’ was still alive—though horribly burned, this person’s heart was still beating.
"Vampire, and it seems to be of a rather high rank." Zem checked and then turned his head to Jiaxi: "Go find two bags of blood plasma from our carriage, and bring the silver stakes too."
"No need." As Malin spoke, he raised his left hand and saw an old tree in the manor stand up and replant itself in front of Malin.
In front of everyone, Malin reached out into thin air and two bags of blood plasma appeared in his hands. The Vampire’s body was controlled by Ails to spread out its arms, and branches suitable for restraining it sprouted from the trunk.
Malin tore open a bag of blood plasma and poured it directly into the Vampire’s mouth, and the body immediately opened its mouth to drink in pain.
