Chapter 47: A Lewd Kind Of Fever!
Rin recoiled instantly, jerking back from Evan as if scalded. The corner of his lips was still tingling, and his breath caught halfway up his throat.
"W-what the hell was that?!" Rin asked, voice higher than usual.
Evan grinned and slowly licked the corner of his mouth, his eyes dark.
"Just tasting dinner. Why are you shocked?"
Rin’s cheeks turned red... not just red, but full, flushed scarlet. He had no idea whether it was embarrassment or sheer disbelief at the audacity of that man. Avoiding Evan’s gaze, Rin shoved a whole fry into his mouth, then grabbed a chunk of chicken and stuffed it in after.
Niblet watched in confusion, ears twitching.
"Are you alright? You’re red," Evan asked, still staring.
"Mmmhf!" Rin grunted, mouth full, eyes wide. He refused to meet the Duke’s gaze. He needed to run away from this man. He wanted to escape to his room.
But he couldn’t leave food behind... not after all that work especially the hot oil splashing on his body.
His eyes flicked to the table. There were still three pieces of chicken, half a bowl of fries, and most of the sauce. It would be a shame to waste it...
’Can I put this in the inventory?’ Rin thought. ’Wait... can I do it while he’s still here?’
He glanced at Evan, who was still watching him like he was dessert.
