Chapter 1313: Resting for the Night
Fortunately, Mu had already considered that Jiang Xue hadn’t eaten for a long time and might be starving, so he bought plenty of porridge.
Jiang Xue ate two bowls before feeling full, then looked at the two men beside her and said, "Thank you for today, I’m fine now. Wenbin, go get some sleep. I plan to go home with Qian Cheng shortly."
"Sis, it’s so late. Why don’t you stay at the office tonight? There’s a room reserved for you at the company, you and brother-in-law can have a good rest and go home tomorrow morning."
Jiang Xue didn’t expect the company to have a room reserved for her; if she had known, she could have taken a nap during lunch instead of makeshifting in the office.
"Xue’er, listen to Wenbin. You’re still very weak; rest for the night, and tomorrow I’ll take you to the hospital for a check-up and then take you home."
"Alright then!" Since Mu Qiancheng said so, Jiang Xue naturally listened to him. Plus, she knew Mu Qiancheng had rushed back from Beijing and also dealt with Wu Ding’s matters, he must be exhausted.
Besides, it would be daylight in two or three hours.
Upon Jiang Xue’s agreement, Shangguan Wenbin led them to the third floor. Jiang Xue’s room was next to Shangguan Wenbin’s room. Although she hadn’t stayed there before, it was clean and had everything she needed.
Jiang Xue and Mu Qiancheng entered and didn’t need to tidy up much, they could directly go to sleep.
After Shangguan Wenbin showed them to the room, he bid them goodnight and returned to his room to sleep.
Having worried all afternoon and evening, he was already tired and sleepy.
Once Shangguan Wenbin left, Jiang Xue and Mu Qiancheng did a simple wash before lying on the bed to rest. Initially, Jiang Xue wanted to chat with Mu Qiancheng, but seeing he had been exhausted for most of the day, she decided not to speak and closed her eyes to rest.
When she woke up, it was already nine o’clock the next morning. Mu Qiancheng had actually woken up earlier, but seeing Jiang Xue was still asleep and considering her injuries, he didn’t wake her.
Jiang Xue woke up because she was hungry; if not for the hunger, she could probably sleep a bit longer.
"Xue’er, you’re awake!" Seeing Jiang Xue wake up, Mu Qiancheng was very happy and said to her, "Go freshen up, I’ll heat up breakfast."
After speaking, Mu Qiancheng went to heat up breakfast. By the time Jiang Xue finished washing up, a warm breakfast was laid out in front of her.
"Have you eaten?" Jiang Xue asked before picking up her chopsticks.
"I’ve eaten already, don’t worry!" Mu Qiancheng smiled and pushed the heated milk towards her.
Hearing Mu Qiancheng had breakfast, Jiang Xue didn’t hold back and started eating heartily. Mu Qiancheng had gotten her wonton soup, which tasted great.
After finishing a big bowl, Jiang Xue was full. She then began to tidy up, preparing to go home. However, Mu Qiancheng insisted on taking her to the hospital, and Jiang Xue had no choice but to agree.
The couple went to the hospital, where the doctor checked Jiang Xue’s wound and applied some medicine before they returned home.
Back home, the elders had already gone to the villa to plant vegetables. Niu had also gone grocery shopping, leaving only the cleaning lady at home.
The couple didn’t seek out the elders, instead went straight upstairs to their room. Once back in the room, Jiang Xue took Mu Qiancheng into the space, intending to use the medicine prepared by the Little Fox.
