Chapter 967: Can’t Wait
"Dare!" Zhuoyue said loudly. He had been thinking about going out to earn some money recently but hadn’t had the opportunity. He was also worried about not finding a job if he went out. Now that Mu Qiancheng introduced him, he was so happy he didn’t know what to say.

"Alright, I’ll go talk to my dad now. But, Brother Cheng, you have to give me sister-in-law’s contact information." Zhuoyue was so happy that he didn’t even call her Jiang Xue, directly calling her sister-in-law.
Mu Qiancheng was very pleased upon hearing this, smiling as he said, "Sure, I’ll write it down for you when I get home."
"Okay, thanks Brother Cheng. I’m heading home now; I’ll come by your place later." Zhuoyue said and hurried home impatiently.
Back home, Zhuoyue told his father about going out to earn money. As always, once he finished speaking, his father immediately refused, telling Zhuoyue to stay at home, saying he was old enough to get married.
Of course Zhuoyue wasn’t willing, then said to his father, "Dad, this job was introduced by Brother Cheng, and it’s not far, in South City. Jiang Xue is over there too; it’s not like I’ll have nobody watching over me."
"What did you say?" Mr. Zhuo was taken aback, looking at Zhuoyue as he asked, "Qiancheng is back?"
"Yeah, he came back today and is leaving tomorrow. I just bumped into him on the road. He saw me doing nothing at home, so he introduced me to a job."
"Alright, I got it. I’ll go ask him about it." Compared to his son, Mr. Zhuo trusted Mu Qiancheng a bit more.
After all, through Mu Qiancheng’s journey, Mu Siwu and Bai Yuhua hadn’t needed to worry much. Unlike Zhuoyue, who was always rebellious, both he and Zhuoyue’s mother were worried sick.
Seeing Mr. Zhuo preparing to visit Mu Qiancheng’s house, Zhuoyue followed along to get Jiang Xue’s contact information.
Upon arriving at Mu Qiancheng’s place, Mr. Zhuo finally believed his son wasn’t lying when he saw Mu Qiancheng there.
Seeing Mr. Zhuo, Mu Qiancheng immediately understood the purpose of his visit, so he smiled and greeted him to come in and sit.
"Qiancheng, I heard from Ah Yue that you introduced him to a job, is that true?" Mr. Zhuo wasn’t one to hold back words, directly asking straightforwardly.
"Yes, Uncle Zhuo, I saw Zhuoyue doing nothing at home, so I wanted him to help Xue’er." Mu Qiancheng replied with a smile.
"Xue’er, you mean Jiang Xue?" Mr. Zhuo was taken aback and then asked, "Wasn’t she in Xu City before? How did she end up in South City?"
"She went to South City for university and is collaborating with friends on a business venture there. So, I thought of asking Zhuoyue to help."
"So that’s how it is!" Mr. Zhuo felt relieved after hearing Mu Qiancheng’s words. However, he was still quite surprised about Jiang Xue venturing into business.
He knew what Jiang Xue was like before. Yet, he hadn’t expected that not only did she go to university, but she’s also collaborating on a business. Truly hadn’t seen she had such capability.
Indeed, you can’t judge a book by its cover. He never thought much of Jiang Xue before, but didn’t expect her to change so much now.
