Chapter 381 - It's Time To Party
“I'm sorry.” Ren said and sighed. “I know it's a lot, but I can't accept payments any lower than that.”
Clint recovered from the shock the fastest. He walked over to the pile of gold coins on the ground and started to gather them up. The other guys saw this and they helped as well.
Teepo, tell me if they miss any. Ren thought to his friend.
“Sure thing.” Teepo said and watched. After a couple of minutes, he spoke. “They got it all.”
Clint put the last coin in Hank's hands and put a hand on the man's shoulder. He pat it once and stepped back. Hank put the money into his coin pouch, took out 52 gold, and held it out.
“A whole year's payments?” Ren asked and accepted the gold. “Are you sure you want to pay that far ahead?”
“I'm pretty sure.” Hank said.
“Okay.” Ren said and slipped the coins into his coin vault. “Thank you for your purchase.”
“So, that's it? I can wear it?”
“It's yours, so yeah.” Ren said. “Go ahead and equip it.”
Hank reached down and touched the set of armor and stored it; then a second later equipped it. He didn't say anything as it glowed slightly for a moment, and bestowed upon him all of it's bonuses.
“I thought adding a Helm of the Eagle was a nice touch.” Ren said. “It worked for Elerlyth, so I modified the helm for your armor, too.” He said. “I did the boots, too.”
“You look nasty.” Billy said to Hank, who smiled.
“All the better to mess you up.” Hank said and took out his sword. Ren examined it automatically and received the plans, then shook his head at the info popup.
