’’Are you willing to listen now?" Maxim asked when Louis’ movements gradually slowed down and he stopped struggling further.
Louis looked at him, bewildered, ’’What are you talking about?"
Maxim nodded at Alex.
Alex and the other nurses who were holding Louis down slowly released. Still gauging his expressions, they stepped back from him.
Seeing that the man seemed to be more composed than earlier, Alex sighed in relief and briefly narrated the incident of his own surgery to him. Afraid that his words would be too shocking, he even toned the information down.
Louis leaned back on the hospital bed, his gaze shifting between Alex and Maxim.
’’You mean... Dr. Rick left? Without operating on me?" he asked after a few moments.
’’When he is back, you can question him about his actions’’ Alex said, although he inwardly cursed Dr. Rick in his heart. He could not even fathom how a human could be so ruthless. That man just had to be that inhumane. Not only did he ruin his own career, he even ruined the whole damn reputation of their hospital.
Alex did not think that he was a saint. He came and left the hospital according to his mood. He did not respect many of the rules in the hospital. And many such things that were quite immoral to be mentioned.
