Before Maxim could say anything, a panicked voice rang from the VIP ward as a man came rushing out.
’’Doctor, Doctor, where is the doctor?’’
Maxim swiftly stepped to the side, avoiding the men who were blocking his path as he turned to look at the person who had run out from the VIP room.
’’What’s the matter?"
’’Doctor, Boss is awake. He moved. He just moved his hand... You... You need to come with me...’’
’’Brother, are you telling the truth? Is Boss really...’’ The rest of the gang looked at him tearfully, feeling shocked and excited.
’’Yes...’’ The man nodded, ’’Boss moved his hand. I saw it with my own eyes.’’
’’Doctor... I.. am sorry,’’ The man who had pointed his gun at Maxim lowered his head as he slowly hid his gun behind his back.
Maxim walked past them and entered the room, ’’Stay here,’’ he said to the people who were about to queue and trail after him.
Just as he had taken a step forward, he paused for a moment and nodded at Veronica before stepping inside, letting the door close behind him.
Veronica took the cue and immediately retreated from the crowd to inform Alex about the patient’s condition.
