The more Cedric explained the more scared she got.
"Then it clicked, I could not see through Sarah’s disguise because she was using holy magic unique to the Nightshade family but that wasn’t the only thing I suspected." He explained.
"Are you saying Sarah is my parents’ real daughter, and she wanted to kill me because I stole her place out of jealousy, but what does this have to do with Callista?" She asked him, her breath was slow and it was getting difficult to breathe.
"It is not that difficult to understand, the auras gave her out," Cedric said and she was left dumbfounded.
"The auras?"
"Disguise magic can change your voice, appearance, smell but it can’t change your aura because it is rooted to your magic core. That day, when Kaiden died, I realised it..."
"Sarah had the exact same aura as Callista, and the fake Abrielle was shrouded in a magic that seemed similar to Callista’s magic. I can never make a mistake with it. I have worked with Callista long enough to know her aura. Secondly, during the victory banquet, Callista had disappeared and returned at that perfect time to tell Eleanor about Kaiden’s death. Abrielle was shaken to the core. It all made sense; she had suspected it when she fought with Sarah, and she used a magic spell unique to Callista on the river because she was certain Abrielle would die.
