Chapter 370: A different side
A soft knock on the door woke him followed by an unfamiliar voice. "Please can I have a word with you, Prince Cedric. The count sent me." The voice politely asked.
Cedric frowned but still reluctantly let go of Abrielle’s hand to see who it was. The door slowly opened revealing a young lady around the same age as Abrielle. The count’s daughter.
"Greetings, your highness," she curtseyed, flaunting her cleavage that wasn’t covered. Cedric didn’t say a thing, so she nervously swallowed, glancing up to meet his gaze.
"I am here to attend to you. Dinner is being served." She explained but her tone was rather seductive.
Cedric’s eyes went cold, he wasn’t in the mood to entertain such stupidity, but he didn’t want to be rude to the host either, just out of courtesy.
"I am not hungry at the moment. Thanks for your concern." Cedric turned down her advances politely. The first prince was being extremely well-behaved at the moment.
Jessica, the count’s daughter, head bobbed up; she was surprised the prince had turned her down. She was confident in her looks and couldn’t afford to fail the mission her father gave to her which was to get close to the first prince
"Are you sure, your highness? It has been a long day, you must be hungry and exhausted. Let me help you ease up the stress as you dine." She chimed sweetly with a seductive smile. Jessica was rather beautiful, better looking than most but her looks meant nothing to Cedric.
He laughed, his laugh dark and scary. The air got tense, and a heavy load was pressed on her shoulders. "Are you sure I am getting served food or something overused?" He asked her.
