Chapter 369: Heat poisoning
Cedric’s footsteps were quick as he matched up to the building. He could feel her burning in his arms and her fragile conscience slipping.
Her hands were clutching her clothes while she kept on rambling random words.
Count Fredrick Pius rushed towards Cedric to greet the prince, although his county was one of the richest in Darconia, he didn’t have much influence and wanted to use this encounter to the best of his abilities.
"Welcome, Your Highness," the count bowed slightly as he welcomed Cedric at the stairway. Cedric couldn’t care less about his greetings.
"Have the physician arrived?" The prince demanded, and the count’s eyes flickered, seeing the level of urgency.
"She is already available, please this way." He led Cedric in. Fredrick glanced at his wife and daughter the prince didn’t bother to pay any attention to before matching into the large luxurious building.
Cedric’s pace was fast; he wasn’t running, but his long legs made it hard for the count to catch up. They finally got to the guest room that the count had prepared.
A female physician was waiting at the door. Her eyes glimmered on seeing the prince, and she quickly bowed. "Greetings your highness. Please come inside."
The door creaked open, and Cedric stepped in. He placed Abrielle on the bed, his heart aching at her condition. She was still saying strange things that made no sense with her eyes closed.
