Chapter 339: his favourite thing
Cedric went silent for a while after she spoke. He had thought about the possibility before but he had a lot of people that wanted to get any means against him.
That night, he wasn’t himself; his primal urges took control of every sanity in him when he saw her half-dead. "We just have to be extra careful from now on." He stated they finally got to the end of the passage, and a blinding light welcomed her.
Abrielle’s eyes took a while to adjust to it, and then a true fairytale revealed itself. The area was surrounded by tall rocks as high as trees. In the middle of the area stood a lake, the clearest lake she had ever seen, that reflected the seas of stars that shone above with the moonlight reflecting off the surface.
The rocks were translucent and very smooth, their surface reflecting the moonlight perfectly lighting up the area. Different colours of night widows lined the edges, its colourful beautiful light drawing in fireflies and insects Abrielle wasn’t sure if she would classify as butterflies or moths. She never imagined there were nocturnal butterflies, how wonderful.
They were attracted to the glowing flowers. They had large beautiful wings that also glowed in the night. Inside the lake were filled with not-so-surprising transparent fishes that were also bioluminescent.
The edges of the water were lined with magic stones, which were glowing, even some stones glowing from under the clear pool. She wondered if this was possible because of the excess magic stones.
A soft laugh left her lips as she smiled, initially forgetting her earlier worries. Cedric placed her feet on the ground, and she slowly approached the flowers.
The butterflies soon circled her causing her to giggle. She was surprised there were night butterflies, but this was a fantasy world. Anything was possible.
Abrielle squatted down to the flowers, there was one of the widows that was purple in colour. Her finger touched the soft petals. A butterfly slowly landed on her finger, amazed she glanced at Cedric.
