Chapter 305: It wasn’t worth it
The clanking sounds of the metal echoed in the dark. The sharp sound woke Abrielle from a long slumber. She has cried herself to sleep. She was truly pathetic now and she has no one to blame.
Abrielle slowly opened her eyes, her stomach twisting in pain. She glanced at the dim lights of the lantern. They were back. "Seems like someone had a long night." The dancer sneered and then tossed her a piece of clothing that hung on Abrielle’s head
It was barely a dress made from rough fibre the princess was sure would leave bruises on her skin. "Change up immediately, bloody hell, here stinks. Don’t tell me you puked the floor." The dancer gritted her teeth, her face twisting in disgust.
Abrielle leaned forward to pick the dress, it was getting suffocating to stay in this dress she was wearing in the first place. She was sure the corsets had left some damage already it’s been two days.
She stared at the dress her mind was slowly slipping due to the ache in her stomach. She was truly a slave, now she thought maybe living a few days in good condition was better than long years as a slave. She indeed had the luck of a slave.
The dancer used a rod to hit the bar, the sharp sound blasting Abrielle’s ears. "What are you waiting for change immediately?" She demanded. Abrielle’s eyes shot out as her head snapped at the dancer who stood by a guard. She expected Abrielle to strip in front of a man, in front of strangers.
"Now?" The princess could barely ask her mouth felt heavy as the pain in her abdomen kept on tormenting her.
"Yes, now. Do you need a special invitation? Strip up I need to know what I am working with." The dancer impatiently sneered at Abrielle. Jealousy was in her eyes, it was disgusting how Abrielle was still stunning despite being in this dump for two days now.
"I can’t change in front of him and I can’t get out of these clothes myself," Abrielle argued. A soft chuckle left the dancer’s lips
"A slave who still has Shame. It seems like you haven’t realized your situation. You might have been a noble lady, but that is over, dear. This is a little compared to what might happen. Being seen naked by men is nothing." An evil grin slowly crept up her face. Abrielle crawled backwards, this could not be happening to her.
"But..." The princess still had a lot to argue. The dancer rolled her eyes. "I didn’t ask for your opinion. Jake help the princess get undressed." She instructed the guard who was more than elated to carry out the other.
"It will be more than a pleasure, Penny," he chimed, then pushed the bar open. Abrielle scrambled, to a corner, her eyes darting around. There was no escape; she was in the middle of nowhere on a ship heading to where only God was nowhere. This could not be happening to her.
