Chapter 195: The masked ball
The original Abrielle found out about the letters when her whispers of it reached her ears. The letters were not love letters and were just plain describing the trip, but it meant a lot for someone like Cedric to even bother writing back to Callista.
"He is so annoying. Why can’t he just be a little different from the novel? Why can’t this be like those transmigration books where he likes me instead because I wasn’t obsessed again?" Her hand froze stunned by what she said.
She laughed, "I guess I am crazy to say something so stupid. I don’t care who he writes to or what happens to him."
Yuki meowed at Abrielle drawing her attention to the white fur ball. "That’s right, I have you here." Abrielle humphed
"It’s unfortunate that I might have to part with you too." Abrielle sighed; her gaze was on the fireplace that was burning lightly.

The Silver Crescent Palace was bustling with several carriages rolling in and out. The loud music could be heard from outside, and several guests dressed magnificently from all over came filling in.
Without a doubt, they were all opulent figures. A white carriage stopped in front of the main entrance, and the footman rushed to open the door for the guest.
A lovely lady with a slender figure and bright ginger hair stepped out. She was dressed in a lovely purple dress and her face was half covered under a matching purple mask.
