After saying this, Vanessa jumped in front of the woman and stood between me and her.
When she stood there, she looked at the woman with narrowed eyes before saying, "Stop trying to cause trouble already. Didn’t you hear him? He said that he’s not interested."
The woman didn’t seem scared when she saw Vanessa act this way.
Instead, she just narrowed her eyes to look at Vanessa as if she was scoping her up.
Then all of a sudden, she said, "Are you sleeping with him?"
"Pftt!" I couldn’t help spitting out the beer that was in my mouth when I heard this.
At the same time, there was a blush that quickly filled Vanessa’s face as a mortified look appeared.
This was the last thing that she had expected this woman to ask her.
During all of this, there wasn’t a single person that dared to say anything. But it was clear by the looks on their faces that they were very invested in this now.
All of them wanted to see where this was going.
"What do you think you’re asking?" Vanessa said when she finally came back to her senses.
