Chapter 34: Trial of Blood (5)
I wasn’t surprised to hear this at all.
Rather, this was what I had been waiting for this entire time.
I was even a bit surprised that it had taken this long for Demon King Balcor to actually interfere with the trial like this.
After all, the way that I was taking his trial was clearly against how he had planned for this trial to go.
This was a trial where blood was supposed to run, but I was doing it the pacifist route.
That was why it would be strange for him to accept this.
After all, Demon King Balcor was a demon king that had been famous for one thing and one thing only.
He was famous for his reign of blood.
He was a demon king that became stronger with more people slaughtered, which was why he encouraged fighting between the demons. In fact, he even demanded demons to fight in coliseums established in the demon race’s territory.
Even for demons, they couldn’t take this large death toll to their numbers and they overthrew him before it could have lasting damage on the demon race.
Or that was what the lore of the game was.
