Hero or Villain, Both

The monsters that were around him wanted to come forward to stop it, but they were too late as the blade of dark energy was already in front of Val Zahar.

It was right about to hit him, but it didn’t reach him in the end.

That was because there was a wall of dark energy that appeared in front of him as well.

With narrowed eyes, Val Zahar looked at the blade of dark energy that was caught in front of him before saying, "Who is it?"

There was only silence that followed, but the monsters didn’t let their guards down as they moved towards Val Zahar.

Finally, a voice broke through that silence, "Strange, what is a demon like you doing in a place like this?"

A faint smile appeared on Val Zahar’s face before he asked, "I could say the same to you. What is a demon doing all the way out here?"

Silence followed after he said this, as if the other side was considering how to answer.

Then there was a laugh that cut through the air followed by an amused voice saying, "A young demon like you questioning me? At least you have this courage to you."

Then in a colder voice that demon said, "But that kind of courage could get you hurt."

There were several more blades of dark energy that appeared around Val Zahar.
