Chapter 391: Veil of Darkness (Part Five)
"My deal is simple. I want you to return to the Primordial Realm and recreate balance in the four realms. In return, I will return the Light energy to you."
Her words hung heavily in the air as both the Dark energy and Esmeray processed them. She spared a quick look in the direction of the King of Darkness and received a small nod of approval from him.
On the other hand, the Dark energy wasn’t convinced at all. "I don’t need your offer to take back what’s mine. I can destroy this world and still take away light with me."
"Indeed." Annalise kept her calm as she continued negotiating. "You can destroy the world, but you would not be able to reunite with the Light energy if I refused to allow it. Right now, I’m its master and control it."
A ripple of uncertainty flickered across the Dark energy. It seemed unaccustomed to facing such resistance. "You can’t control it!" it insisted, its frustration becoming palpable.
"I can if it allows me. And right now, it trusts me completely," Annalise replied calmly, her words echoing with confidence that challenged the very essence of the Dark energy’s nature.
"Then I’ll just keep you with me for eternity." The Dark energy offered as if it had come up with the perfect solution.
Annalise shook her head as she let out a sigh of disappointment. "Again. What will you even get when I will refuse to let the light reunite with you?"
The realization seemed to slowly dawn over the Dark energy as it finally took time to process her words instead of replying immediately.
