Valerius captured her head effortlessly and skillfully slammed a kiss on her moist, inviting mouth.

As the gap between their nearly naked bodies completely disappeared, Annalise felt her desire heightened. While a distant part of her brain was aware that she was being distracted by the Winter Prince, the bigger part of her brain and her entire body and soul was rejoicing at the said attempt of distraction.
Valerius tilted her head to gain more access. His wet tongue slid in between her lips, sucking and licking like he couldn’t get enough of her. Her head was bent back, with a strong hand supporting her neck.
All the while, he kept using the spell to keep his hands warm against her skin while his torso was cold against her warm body.
He pulled away from the kiss and gazed at her with his brightly glowing icy-blue eyes. Despite his initial plan of just distracting her through seduction, his body and soul were now too invested for him to be not overtaken by his desire for his gorgeous mate.
He cursed himself for thinking of such a stupid idea to keep her from finding out the right spell. He should have known better.
"Are you stopping?" Annalise asked as she realized what was going on, a smile threatened to bloom on her lips but she succeeded in controlling herself at the very last moment. A plan formed in her brain and she knew that she finally had a chance to win.
