Chapter 347: The Winter Prince’s Game (Part One)
Annalise stood in front of the huge open window in her bed-chamber as she looked at the beautiful night view. The full moon was for once not hidden by the clouds and fog that had become common during these winter nights, and millions of stars were scattered around the sky.
The light chilly wind was rustling the vines that were decorating nearly ninety percent of the outside walls of the castle and around twenty percent of the inner walls and ceilings.
"Do you love winter this much?" Valerius’ sweet voice infiltrated her deep thoughts and made Annalise turn her attention toward her husband who just entered the room and was now heading in her direction.
Returning her focus to the outside view, she let out a small breath and answered - "Despite the cold, I love the calmness that it provides."
Valerius stopped right behind her with so little space between their bodies that she could feel their clothes brushing the slightest. "What me to keep you warm then?" his deep but low voice whispered the suggestive question next to her ear, making Annalise’s heart flutter.
And even though her heart, body, and soul were immediately ready to accept his offer, when she spoke, her words were completely different from her thoughts or desires. "Are you forgetting that your body is always cold?"
Instead of answering her immediately, Valerius took a step closer to dismiss the remaining little space between their bodies before he whispered in her ear - "You know that my body can fulfill all your needs, wife, even if you want it to be warm against this cold." And then, his hands were sliding across her waist as he engulfed her into his arms from behind.
What made Annalise gasp out loud in response wasn’t his warm skin against hers but the fact that despite both of them wearing thick layers of clothes, she was feeling his naked arms pressed against her naked waist.
"What kind of spell is this?" She asked while trying to sound curious and not desperate for more of his touches.
