Chapter 253: Sparkles in Water (Part Two)
"Where do you think you are going?" Kenric whispered right next to her ear, his warm breath fanning her earlobe, sending very familiar sparks running across her ear.
"Kenric..." She tried to wriggle out of his hold but she was stupid to think that she could be a match to him when it came to their physical strength. She was someone who had been constantly getting beaten up in her combat training classes even while doing something as simple as just attending herself from Damien’s attacks and the man had been going really easy on her.
"Yes, Little Bird?" Kenric asked while tightening his hold on her, he seemed to have no intention of allowing her any freedom at the moment. "Why are you suddenly being so shy?" He asked while tilting his face to the side in order to take a look at her face and he genuinely seemed surprised as he asked that.
"I..." Annalise opened her mouth to speak but then closed it as she had no answer to give him. Even she was not aware why she was suddenly feeling so shy about something she had been confidently dealing with for the past two months. "I don’t know." She finally muttered the truth.
She had her head lowered and her eyes fixed on the floor, that was probably why she didn’t notice Valerius moving toward her until he was standing right in front of her with his hand taking hold of her chin to make her face him.
Her eyes met with his beautiful ice-blue ones and she almost felt her entire body shivering at their intensity. Though there was still a month or so left before the arrival of winter, she could still see the long snow-covered fields in his eyes.
"Come and join me for a bath." The first Dark Lord suddenly told her as if he had completely ignored the exchange between Kenric and her.
Annalise watched in surprise as Valerius gave her a warm smile, completely opposite to the energy his eyes held in them, before he turned around and headed toward the pool. What happened next made it impossible for her to look away even if she would have tried her very best.
She watched as one by one, Valerius’ clothes started slipping down his body, and by the time he put his first foot inside the pool, he was completely naked with his long silver hair falling to his waist and his milky white skin shining in the bright light on the Moonstones.
