The robe slid down her shoulders and landed on the floor at her feet, leaving Annalise only in the chemise that left her the most exposed in front of a man than she had ever been in her entire life.
The light breeze entering the room through the window grazed against her bare arms and feet, causing her to shiver as she pulled away from the kiss.
Her eyes scanned the face of her husband and she found his eyes filled with desire that made butterflies flutter in her stomach. She opened her mouth but words refused to come out.
Her slightly parted lips invited yet another kiss, much softer this time, coaxing, his tongue gently tracing hers.
Annalise found herself falling into the sensation, her body igniting from within and sending another wave of warmth through her belly.
The contrast between the fire building inside her body and the cool breeze hitting her from outside only added fuel to the passion and desire that had started to drive her crazy.
It was all so confusing, so consuming, so empowering. She shook beneath the onslaught of emotions, her grip on him tightening, her breathing quickening in her chest.
