Chapter 137: HAZEL’S ATTEMPT TO SEDUCE HER HUSBAND
The air was suddenly filled by the harsh sound of gunfire with the order from Jack.
Because of the proximity, there was no chance of missing their targets. Within seconds, the two men lay lifelessly on the ground; their blood oozed out from the small hollows of the bullets on their bodies.
Positioned in the secluded backyard of the Barlowe residence, this area was inaccessible to outsiders; therefore, no one could come without Jack knowing it.
"Burn their bodies," Jack ordered with dispassion.
The people ordered to burn the bodies looked disturbingly callous, following Jack’s commands without a second thought as they began pouring gasoline over the two corpses.
Fire licked the two dead bodies and soon after engulfed them like a blanket.
During this grim process, Michael came home and approached his father while the flames devoured the remains of the corpses.
Such scenes were not unusual for him; he had grown up surrounded by these cruel situations.
By the time Michael arrived, he could barely recognize the charred bodies, and even more, he found himself indifferent to their fate.
"What happened to your face?" Jack asked, his brow furrowed with concern.
"Nothing," Michael replied coldly, dismissing him with a wave of his hand. "There is something important I need to tell you."
