Chapter 490: News
Kael walked down the corridors with a bold look on his face.
His usual satisfied smile was on his face, paired with the ruthlessness emanating from his eyes.
Everything was going almost according to his plan, how could he not be satisfied?
It had been a week since he attacked the String of Fate Coalition.
As expected, Kael wasn’t able to do much once the anti-power wave wore off. But before that, he was able to recruit more than fifteen thousand Fortune Lions into the lion system.
This pushed the number of lion kings in the lion system to a shocking number of roughly thirty thousand or more.
It was nowhere close to the total population, but it was enough for a starting point.
The rest of the fortune lion kings escaped or were killed if they were caught resisting.
The coalition was temporarily disbanded. When many fortune lions like these wanted to escape, it was nearly impossible to catch them.
Apart from the little members from the Cosmic Research Coalition that were mixed in with the Primordial Supporters, the news of what happened that morning also spread through the mouths of the escaped fortune lion kings.
The news rocked different levels of the lion civilization society in different ways.
The Primordial was in heaven, this, everyone knew now.
They also knew that the Primordial had started moving madly as soon as it came, not giving anyone any chance to prepare well.
A few hours after his arrival in Leonine Heaven, the next morning, they learned that Kael had set off for the headquarters of the Strings of Fate Coalition.
All the things that had transpired that day were vague. But all the false and real news didn’t beat the most captivating news
A tier 7 lion king had died in that battle. He had been swarmed from all sides by the supporters of the Primordial Lion as they chanted and called him a sinner.
Two shocking news swept out that day. One, the death of a tier 7 because of the Primordial Lion.
Second, it was known that the Primordial Lion had summoned some kind of missile that temporarily removed the powers of the fortune lions.
No one knew what that rocket missile was, nor did they have the idea of how it was made.
These two big news had really big effects.
Suddenly, tier 7 lions who had previously been inactive were reported to have started stepping out of their private continents.
Such movement from those powerhouses could not be so easily hidden. The tier 7 lions themselves didn’t bother to hide their presence or their crushing auras.
Another thing was that the top members of the Cosmic Research Coalition were now paying serious attention to Kael.
It didn’t take anyone long to find that Kael was residing in Exalon’s massive pyramid and was constantly being guarded by thousands of lion kings with their arkships.
Surely, the whole lion civilization was not that united that they would suddenly come together to attack the Primordial Lion.
And it was made clear that the Primordial Lion probably had some strange trump cards. He was not one to be taken lightly.
The parties who were interested in meeting Kael could only do so through a formal visit to Exalon’s pyramid.
It was exhausting and less epic than just brute-forcing their way to Kael. But this method wouldn’t cost them their lives.
Who were they kidding, Kael’s swarm of kings had taken down a tier 7 fortune lion. Trying to pass through Kael’s defenses was not impossible, but it would cost a lot.
The kind of cost that only a few could be willing to pay. Few like Ma’abu.
So today, Kael had visitors.
He walked through the hallways and descended on multiple elevators. He could have just teleported to the location of the meeting room with the yramid’s assistance but Kael enjoyed the walk.
Although it looked like Kael was walking alone, he was not alone. He was never alone.
Ever since he came to heaven, there were always random groups of lion kings who had their eyes on Kael. They easily peered through the weaker walls, seeing the All-King casually walk around like he owned the place.
And in a sense, he did.
Technically, Exalon still owned the whole pyramid. But Kael had become an authoritarian figure overnight.
This was a rare case where Kael did not need to prove overwhelming might like the savage beasts were used to.
Just the fact that Kael was the nexus point for the lion system was enough to set them straight.
With a single thought, Kael could kick anyone out of the lion system. The fear of being banned was a sort of power on its own.
Kael could instantly label anyone in heaven a sinner and thousands of lions would swarm and hunt that lion down until they gained their reward.
Just alterations from Kael and the whole lion system would be thrown into chaos.
He could shut down the features they were so addicted to. He could access the Conquering Essence within their heavenly beacons, and he could play with the exchange feature to turn any lion King into a poor beggar.
And the worst of all, if anything happened to Kael, that would literally mean the end of the lion system.
As long as they were not daft, any lion tied to the system knew that Kael was their lifeline.
Even without Kael saying anything, they subconsciously paid close attention to him and watched out for any danger that might come his way or anything that might displease him.
This gave Kael the idea of creating a private bodyguard team. The idea might not work with lions because although they wanted Kael to be safe, they didn’t want to spend their whole day trying to protect themselves.
Even Exalon wouldn’t want to do it.
Even now, Katari followed him through the cracks of space, keeping a certain distance between her and the All-King.
After more than thirty minutes of walking and going down elevators, Kael finally arrived at the entrance of the meeting room.
He didn’t pause his steps or look around to see who was waiting for him.
The meeting room had a few red pillow sofas arranged around randomly.
Kael dominantly walked toward the pillow sofa close to the center of the room and sat down comfortably.
The visitors who had been waiting for him followed Kael with their scrutinizing gazes.
Now that Kael was comfortably sitting on his pillow sofa, he took a good look at everyone in the room with a prideful gaze, the one that Ozia had inherited from him.
To the right, two familiar humanoid females stood with regal stances.
One of them was a brown skinned tall lady with braided hair, fiery eyes, and a sensual body.
She was Shawty, one of the top leaders of the Fanged Flower Coalition as well as Alora’s closest ’friend’ since she became a Lion Queen.
Alora’s skin was still as white as snow and her hair was like a snowy waterfall. Just as he remembered.
The other person on the other hand was quite strange.
He had the aura of a lion, but he also seemed to possess two Lion Hearts.
The male humanoid man stepped forward to Kael and spoke calmly, "Greetings All-King, if you don’t mind, I’m here on behalf of the Cosmic Research Coalition...
