Chapter 460: Olivia And Cruelty
Far away from Planet Kareem, a couple of star systems away from civilization.
One arkship was parked here at the edge of a star system with a bright blue star at the center.
Thirteen planets orbited this blue star, all of which were unfit to harbor organic life.
The arkship hovering at the edge of this star system was a familiar one. It was the same arkship that had belonged to the fortune dragon commander.
Inside this arkship, in one of the chamber worlds.
Kael sat on a simple wooden chair in his humanoid form. His blonde hair and handsome face were illuminated by the clear sky and artificial sun from above.
He had a calm and satisfied expression on his face but his golden eyes oozed coldness and ruthlessness beyond what anyone could imagine.
He wore simple clothes, a loose white long-sleeve shirt, and black trousers with simple brown sandals to complement.
His arms were folded, exposing a little bit of the bulging muscles the shirt was hiding. Right now, Kael looks more human than ever.
His lion ears and tail were gone, merged into his body. His aura was so suppressed that anyone might mistake him for a normal human.
Well, that would be what any human would think of, not for the third eye on Kael’s forehead at the moment.
In between Kael’s golden eyes, a few finger tips up, a vertical greyish-gold eye was open.
The eye was staring intensely at the being in front of Kael.
Kneeling in front of Kael was an absolute unit of a man, or half man.
The man was nearly eight feet tall and even while kneeling, he still looked very large.
Compared to Kael, he was way muscular and imposing. He only had dirty brown shorts on and his torso was bare.
Some parts of his body like his chest, abs, shoulders, forearms, back, and some parts of his face, were covered in hard grey scales.
Two large horns grew in his head, while two smaller horns were positioned close to his ears, and a much smaller one was on his forehead.
Behind him, two massive wings were folded and one long, thick tail curved around his kneeling form.
This was the War Dragon Kael had defeated, he was currently bound by multiple binding runes.
Kael and N’bayé naturally couldn’t maintain binding runes on a tier 6 dragon for so long so they outsourced this task to the arkship.
With sufficient fuel, the arkship was very much capable of restraining a tier 6 dragon for a period of time.
The dragon commander, forced into this kneeling position, was not in the best mood. He had been kept in this chamber world for a week with no company at all.
Just him and his thoughts.
He had already been thinking of what he would do to Kael once he managed to get out. He thought of their fight and lamented the many ways he could have easily beaten Kael.
But he didn’t, he could only push his indignance to the back of his mind.
Now, all of a sudden, Kael had appeared in front of him along with two other entities.
Kael was not alone with the dragon commander in this chamber world, he had come with two people today.
Both of these people were emitting strong powers of Fortune.
By Kael’s left, Olivia stood in a plain white dress that brought out her curves and left space for the cleavage of her large breasts to be seen.
She was in her humanoid form and currently, her expression was a mix of tiredness and acceptance.
On Kael’s right, the undead fortune dragon, still in his dragon form, stood with a blank gaze.
Together, Olivia and the undead fortune dragon elevated Kael’s aura to maddening heights in the war dragon’s mind.
"What is your name?" Kael asked.
The kneeling dragon commander frowned, his blue reptilian eyes had been focused solely on the undead fortune dragon.
They had both been colleagues and friends once. To think that he would see his friend in such a situation one day.
As Imperial Officials, their lives were not perfect. They knew that there was danger and they could likely die in the worst way possible. Even those seniors who had been alive for multiple millennia were not exempt from this possible fate.
But to see that gruesome fate with one’s own eyes was very shocking.
The dragon commander could not help but imagine himself as an undead.
This former colleague of his was now missing his lower jaw. His formerly beautiful green eyes had now turned pale.
His chest had a bloody cavity with dripping flesh that hung by thin strands of meat. Gone was the once glorious and elegant fortune dragon.
Hearing Kael’s question, the war dragon commander snapped out of his dazed state and turned his gaze to Kael.
"Why haven’t you killed me?" The dragon commander asked.
*Sigh*
Kael sighed, his chest muscles getting tenser. He really didn’t like it when this prisoner acted tough for no reason.
"If you think...AAAHG!" The dragon commander was saying when his body suddenly spasmed and shook as if he was being shocked.
Silver flames burst out from his body before disappearing all of a sudden.
The pain vanished and the dragon commander was left breathing hard. He had been tortured many times and experienced the most brutal training, but never had he felt the sensation of his own soul burning.
The pain, it was not something he could explain, but it was very bad.
The silver flames died away from Kael’s eyes, returning to their original golden color.
The vertical eye at the center of his head released a warm glow as it focused on the dragon commander.
Olivia watched this with an indifferent expression on her face. She couldn’t care less about the suffering of this dragon. To her, this dragon was the one that forced Kael to hurt her.
That was how she chose to see it.
"I asked you a simple question, very simple. All you have to do is respond truthfully.
What is your name?" Kael asked again, this time with the threat of the soul lane present.
The dragon commander wanted to speak in the Draconic Language but stopped himself, realizing that Kael might not understand. So he wanted to speak telepathically.
But Kael cut him off before he said anything.
"And just so you know, I can sense when you are lying. Do you think you are strong enough to resist the burning of your soul?
Feel it again just to be sure..."
"AAAAARGH!"
The dragon commander screamed, collapsing on his arms as tears fell from his eyes and streamed down his scaled cheeks.
His body shook and burned hot, but there was no visible fire in his body besides the silver flames that showed themselves occasionally.
"You...stop!" The dragon commander cursed in draconic language. Kael didn’t understand what he was saying.
"Are you cursing us?" Olivia suddenly asked with a frown. She didn’t understand what the dragon commander said too but she just wanted to exercise some form of cruelty on this dragon.
As cruel as Kael was, he didn’t want to beat around the bush as he found no sadistic pleasure in torturing the dragon commander.
He just wanted some answers.
The silver flames died down and the dragon commander was relieved.
"Do you want to test it again?" Kael asked.
The dragon commander didn’t agree or disagree due to pride but the intent was clear.
"Okay,"
"AAAAAAAAAARGH!"
The silver flames died down again, leaving the dragon commander on the brink of mental collapse. It felt like someone had set fire inside his head, heart, and stomach at the same time but the fire burned in a place where he couldn’t reach.
"Do you want to test it again?" Kael asked.
Beside Kael, Olivia wore a devilish smile as she watched the dragon commander suffer. The scene of Kael holding her hands and putting her through so much suffering played over and over again in her mind.
The dragon commander shook his head slightly, swallowing his pride.
"Good," Kael said, nodding with a satisfied expression.
Olivia almost didn’t want the dragon commander to comply. Alas, she could only settle down as Kael had brought her here for another reason.
"What is your name?" Kael asked.
"Ryskim," The dragon commander said.
Kael nodded, "Okay Ryskim, you and your colleagues have been searching for me, am I correct?"
Ryskim nodded, "Yes," He answered, suddenly feeling that something was wrong.
"And how long have you been looking for me? Who ordered you to look for me?" Kael asked.
The vertical eye opened wider and glowed more brightly with each question he asked.
"One year and three months, more or less. Regent Ibadon was the one who ordered us to find you," Ryskim said. But as he answered, he could feel that something was going horribly wrong.
It felt like there was an invisible hand gradually trying to force its way into his mind.
Kael smirked, it was already too late, he had access.
"Tell me everything you know about Ibadon."
