Chapter 452: Mysteries Of Planet Kareem
"Don’t let him open the heavenly gate!" Katari ordered coldly.
She wasn’t really the leader in this situation but she still spoke with authority. The other lionesses didn’t contest this unofficial superiority.
It had been a while since they saw Katari do something serious.
The fortune dragon before them was tier 6, a full tier beyond their power levels. Originally, they were tier 4 but with the Conqueror Mode Avatar, they had reached tier 5.
Still, he was a tier 6 entity, a creature that had access to the mysterious warp effect to enhance his powers.
Thankfully, this was a fortune dragon, a dragon type that supposedly had the weakest combat ability of all of them.
"So the Primordial Lion is here," The fortune dragon commander said to the female humanoids.
At the same time, his fortune field encompassed the whole moon. He was preparing for a battle that was apparently unavoidable.
"What was that rocket you launched? I’ve never seen..." The dragon commander was saying telepathically.
Katari interrupted him by slashing out with a vicious palm strike. Space distorted around her as a spatial blade cut through the void and moon rocks.
The fortune dragon had merely stepped to the side before Katari had slashed out, using his Focused Luck to keep himself unharmed.
Katari didn’t stop her relentless attacks, her golden eyes may no longer reflect Kael’s will but she knew his intentions. These dragons must not be allowed to open that heavenly gate.
Any small talk from this dragon was just him stalling for time.
She wasn’t alone, the other lionesses rushed the fortune dragon as a group.
Eidel and Ruda transformed into golden streaks of fire and lightning respectively, curving around the fortune dragon to attack him from the side.
Zabita had transformed into her lioness form, and using the clumps of metal she had brought with her from the planet, she joined in the attack.
Diane was just focused on closing the distance between her and the dragon, knowing fully well that this dragon did not have strong physical attributes.
Chloe was the least comfortable here as she found it hard to generate actual power on the moon. She had to drive artificial wind from her power pool to be able to keep up with the others.
She was so responsible for the invisible air pocket surrounding their heads as each of them were not yet able to survive in vacuum space like this dragon without oxygen.
Even then, her contribution was seen. Thousands of golden wind blades descended from the sky, locking the space around the fortune dragon and preventing him from escaping.
Or so they thought.
The wildest thing happened, something that went against all their expectations.
Katari made a mistake.
She actually made a mistake when trying to teleport to the fortune dragon’s side.
She had successfully reached her destination but the fortune dragon had also teleported away.
It was so unreal that even Katari questioned herself. Right before the attacks hit, Katari teleported again, avoiding the danger.
As for the fortune dragon, he appeared not far away from them with a relaxed expression.
To him, these lionesses were just putting on a show. He was confident that he could stand still and they wouldn’t be able to touch him.
So what if he wasn’t physically stronger or had special elemental abilities, good fortune was on his side.
"Now, where was I?" The dragon then returned his focus to opening the heavenly gate so that he could summon Ibadon.
All of a sudden, he felt a really strong dip in his good fortune. His senses blared at him to quickly get out of the way and that he was in serious danger.
Without checking to know what it was, the fortune dragon flapped his wings and soared into the moon’s dark sky.
Beneath him, a deep trench was formed, cracking from one side of the moon to the other.
The lionesses had all transformed into their true forms. They rushed at the dragon with renewed killing intent.
Every second this fortune dragon remained alive furthered their resolve to kill him.
They no longer acted separately like they did when they first attacked.
Now, they moved with coordination and purpose, attacking with focused intent to disable and kill.
Just because they were fighting a fortune dragon didn’t mean they couldn’t adapt their fighting style. They went after him with the knowledge that he could potentially dodge all their attacks and acted on that knowledge.
When one lioness was attacking, two others were waiting, anticipating the fortune dragon’s next move.
For the first time, the fortune dragon found that he had to increase his focus to actively avoid harm.
These lionesses were dangerous.
The battle on the moon was becoming more heated as the Fortune Dragon was forced to fight back, unleashing a fate-destroying dragon breath that rained loads of bad luck on anyone who was hit.
A few minutes later.
The fortune dragon could not sit and act so nonchalant anymore. Their forms dashed around the moon at superspeed, streaks of gold and yellow moving from one side of the moon to the other.
The lionesses chased after the fortune dragon, draining him of his fortune power little by little.
It didn’t matter the amount of good fortune the dragon had to evade the attacks, the lionesses were anticipating it and attacked immediately they saw him appear anywhere.
They didn’t give him a chance to breathe at all.
A shallow wound on his scaled cheek leaked drops of blood which floated in the low gravity field of the moon. That scratch had been left by Diane.
And that was just one of the many injuries to come.

Planet Kareem.
While Kael performed a beatdown on the colossal War Dragon and the lionesses fought the fortune dragon, N’bayé was doing something else.
The soil seal she had broken led down a tunnel that opened up to a strange place.
N’bayé floated down the tunnel, her glowing golden eyes scanning the walls which transitioned from rocks to metal the further down she went.
Eventually, her feet touched the cold metal ground.
She looked around, curious.
The tier 6 aura oozing off of her had to be contained as she did not want to affect anything here.
A few meters away from where she stood, five podiums had been built into the ground, forming a pentagon formation with N’bayé standing in the middle.
Each of these podiums had a gap in the middle and four of them were filled while one of the podiums was empty.
The gaps of these podiums were filled with something N’bayé had seen not too long ago.
Rockets.
That same rocket that had been launched out of the tunnel as soon as the seal was opened, four more were here.
The last podium was empty, N’bayé assumed that it was from this podium that the rocket had been launched from.
As for the remaining four...
N’bayé narrowed her eyes. She wanted to take it but she wasn’t sure about the mechanics of these weapons. What if she touched it and it exploded like the first one?
If she could take them, they would be extremely valuable to Kael.
Thinking in this direction, N’bayé waved her hand and created four golden magic barriers that covered each podium.
The dormant rockets were not touched but they were shielded from any potential disturbances.
There was still a lot more to explore in this place, so she decided to pick the rockets up after she gained a better understanding of everything.
She then turned her gaze to her front where a half-opened large bunker door could be seen.
Erecting her own personal magic barrier, N’bayé flew toward the door.
It looked like the door had just been like this for a long time, as if the last person to pass through did not have enough time to close it.
’Hmm,’ N’bayé passed through the thick metal door.
There was one other door ahead, N’bayé saw that this one was closed shut and from the looks of it, was more powerful than the first one. There was no handle or holding on the outside as it could only be opened from the inside.
If that anti-power wave had done what it was supposed to do, then no one would be able to open this door as they would all be powerless.
More golden runes and circles appeared around her hand, illuminating the dark passage.
Magic power seeped into the metal door, worming its way through the gaps and applying pressure at the right places.
*Click!*
Multiple clicking sounds were heard as the door detached slightly from the wall it was hooked to.
N’bayé waited for a few seconds.
There was nothing.
Nothing burst out from the other side to attack her, no strange gas, no sudden deaths.
N’bayé’s curiosity was strong.
She pulled on the edge of the door, ignoring its terrifying weight, and opened it.
What met her eyes caused N’bayé to gasp.
A hive?
No, it looked like a hive at first glance. It wasn’t.
It seemed to be a very large hibernation facility of some sort, having tall glass pods that lined the walls.
Kilometers upon kilometers of pods from left to right, and from front to the back. N’bayé could not see the end of this facility from where she stood.
But she could make out the figures slumbering within these pods. Each pod was shaped like an oval and was primarily composed of metal and glass.
Inside each pod was a frozen space, keeping the slumbering creatures alive and fresh.
N’bayé couldn’t recognize the alien-like creatures within these pods as she had never seen them before.
But she didn’t need to recognize them as the intent of Kael that came with the Conqueror Mode Avatar reacted.
It was like a buried memory flashed through N’bayé’s thoughts and a name appeared in her mind.
"Monkeys?"
