Chapter 419: All-king
"It’s the Empress!" Pagast claimed while still trying to defend himself.
The attacks didn’t stop but the severity died down.
"What Empress?" Exalon asked from the comfort of his arkship which oversaw the events.
Pagast gritted his teeth, a blow struck his face from a powerful War Lion, causing him to lose some of his teeth.
"Stop! It’s the Dragon Empress, she made us..." Pagast was saying then suddenly stopped as he felt something happening to him.
’Us?’ Alora thought to herself with a frown.
"What’s happening to him?"
"Everyone, move back!"
Warning roars were heard as the numerous attackers witnessed Pagast’s body swell into grotesque proportions.
The blood stuck to his body evaporated rapidly, leaving behind his clear white fur. But even his fur was starting to fall off or burn out.
His muscles swelled, not in a masculine way that implied he was getting stronger. Rather, he looked like his body was being overfilled with excess power or something was happening.
"No! Please! Forgive me!" Pagast roared, fear evident in his tone. It was his body so he knew very clearly what was happening to him.
The Destruction Essence was active.
"Somebody, help me, I’ll tell you everything," Pagast pleaded to the lion kings and queens, but none of them stepped forward.
"What did you mean by US?" Alora flew forward on her ice platform and asked.
The Lion Kings nodded, eagerly waiting for Pagast to continue talking. Hoping that he would spill more information before anything happened to him.
"Yes, talk fast, we might be able to save you," One Lion Queen said. She was lying but this gave Pagast some sense of hope.
"Alora, please, you need to help me. It’s not my fault, she threatened to kill us if we didn’t keep Destruction Essence in our bodies..."
*BAM! BAM!*
Pagast’s two crystal blue eyes bulged before exploding into bloody bits. The more he talked, the more his body was destroyed.
"Help me!..." His cries were cut short as his tongue completely dissolved into a liquid mess.
His mane straightened and began to fall off rapidly until he turned into a hairless large albino lion.
Alora narrowed her eyes as she watched this, ’Dragon Empress? So there’s another powerful entity besides Ibadon.
Is she a Primordial?’
Pagast’s body began to glow brightly as the destruction essence within his body triggered his atoms to go into a state of nuclear fission.
*BOOM!*
Exalon’s body exploded, releasing vast amounts of energy and radiation that swept the void and covered many mini planets.
The nuclear explosion from the body of a tier 6 lion was not something to ignore at all.
It was sudden and no one had time to defend themselves.
At least, Exalon’s arkship shot forward and created a barrier while simultaneously initiating forceful teleportation of many lions and lionesses in the vicinity.
They did not resist as their instincts warned them of serious danger.
The blast caused Exalon’s arkship to vibrate, but besides that, it was fine.
Pagast’s body was gone.
Tens of thousands of lions and lionesses, including Lion Kings and Lion Queens, as well as the golden-eyed Alora, appeared inside the command chamber of Exalon’s arkship.
Outside, all the shuttles and lions that were unfortunate to be close by but not teleported disintegrated instantly.
Most of them were weak and their fates were sealed.
Thankfully, the majority of the shuttles had kept a safe distance and were able to flee just in time.
Inside Exalon’s arkship, inside the chamber of commerce. Everyone turned to the feminine figure standing on a floating slab of golden ice.
Alora’s eyes shone with dangerous intelligence. Kael silently acknowledged that the Destruction Essence which had been inside the system was now completely gone.
...
[Mission: Traitor Amongst Us.
Status: Complete.
Rewards: Distribution in progress...]
After that announcement, everyone who had contributed to the death of Pagast received their rewards.
One hundred thousand points and one instant Lionhood Bar refill for those who contributed to Pagast’s death.
Thousands of them received this reward.
But only those who actively questioned Pagast and made him talk received the reward for objective 2.
The most exciting part about Objective 2 was the last reward. A promise of assistance from Kael himself.
About a hundred or so Lion Kings and Queens were privileged to have this reward as their trump card.
As for the bonus reward, the random receiver was yet to be revealed.
Either way, the sight of the Conqueror Points balance increasing made the numerous lions very happy. Some of them were already thinking of going on a spending spree in the Exchange Section.
But not everyone was in a good mood though.
Exalon had randomly selected the lions and lionesses with the strongest aura to save, and this included Pagast’s subordinates. There were also those who were saved but their relatives or friends were not.
Obviously, most of those friends and relatives were weak and it was safe to assume that they were dead now.
They probably died before they could feel the heat, that was a calming knowledge.
As for Pagast’s consorts and subordinates, no one cared about them. They would have to fend for themselves from now on or look for someone to work for.
The consorts would probably start looking for another Lion King to tie themselves to. The Princes, wherever they were, would start dividing the properties of the clan so that they could set out on their own.
But the heavenly beacon, which was the most valuable item around, was nowhere to be seen. Without it, there couldn’t be an heir to the clan.
As for Kael who was still present in Alora’s mind but slowly drawing away, he was somewhat satisfied.
He had detected an anomaly in the Lion System and solved it with ruthless efficiency.
It brought him a sense of relief, but that was just momentarily.
Kael’s paranoia grew as he thought of the words spoken by Pagast before he died.
"What did he mean by US?" Alora asked out loud.
Exalon, eager to be standing in front of the Primordial Lion, walked over with a vicious smile on his face.
Alora turned her head. This was the first time Kael would be seeing Exalon face-to-face.
He looked different than how he imagined.
Fluffy grey mane, an elderly but very muscular look. He gave off the vibe of an old warrior.
One thing that stood out was his size. Exalon was really big. Just like other War Lions, Exalon could increase his size to a limit.
Currently, he was nearly ten meters tall from paw to shoulder. Besides Alora, he was the second most attractive person inside the chamber of command at the moment.
"I’m afraid it means he’s not the only one who has been corrupted by the dragons," Exalon said before bowing his head slightly.
"Thank you for this opportunity, All-king," Exalon added.
Alora raised her eyebrow, "All-king?" He asked.
Exalon nodded his head, "Yes, I just thought of it. It’s cool right? King of Kings, All-King, it’s all the same.
Do you like it?"
Alora blinked, the name reminded Kael of a certain mythical Norse god from his past life.
"All-king, I like it, thank you," Kael said through Alora.
Exalon turned to the crowd, an excited look on his face and his aura surging forth.
"Did you hear that! You shall all refer to the Primordial Lion as the All-king. Does anyone dare have anything against that title?"
Exalon announced. The question he asked came with a rising killing intent, not just from him, but from a lot of Lion Queens, especially Shawty.
Lion Queen Shawty was currently looking at Alora with dreamy eyes. She so much wants to peer through Alora so that she would see Kael’s true face.
"Your Majesty, All-king, what do we do about what Pagast said?" Shawty asked.
Alora looked around, "Allying with others against your own race is a sin that can only be cleansed with death..."
Alora’s first sentence instantly raised the morale of the fanatics who were dying for action.
The fact that so many Lion Kings died during their encounter with Ibadon seems to have flown over their minds. For a moment, they forgot what danger was.
"And cleanse we shall..." Alora continued, "The Conquering must be pure, the system must be pure, lions must be pure.
If we allow such cancers, such viruses to dwell among us, one day they will rise and cut us down in our sleep!
Who knows how long they have been thriving amongst us? Your brothers, your fathers, your friends, and especially your enemies.
They can be anyone, and they can be anywhere.
But not to fear, I, the All-king shall assist in the cleansing of this civilization.
All who serve the other races are weaklings, and the weaklings must be purged.
They must be purged, no weaklings! None!
Lions, Kings! Queens! Ready yourself for the great purge that is about to come.
Welcome it into your embrace!
Blood will flow, and the mighty shall bathe in the blood of the weaklings, of the unclean, of the heretics.
Rejoice, Kings, for this era, nothing will stand in the way of our Conquering!"
