Reincarnated As A Lion In Another World

Chapter 414: Answer Me!

Exalon had just finished chatting with Kael. The conversation had ended abruptly with Kael asking Exalon of Pagast was still with Alora.

The question confused Exalon as he didn’t understand why Kael was suddenly interested in the matter.

Sure, it was a juicy drama to gossip about but it wasn’t that important compared to other things.

Exalon himself wasn’t there to witness all that but he had some friends and subordinates who were close and told him of what was happening.

Just a few seconds after his conversation with Kael ended, Exalon felt it.

Another pulse.

His eyes widened with shock, and he looked in the direction the pulse had come from. The walls of his pyramid dissolved into other walls, allowing him to peer into the far distance.

The irises of his eyes overlapped and created multiple layers, absorbing light and enhancing his vision.

Still, he could not see what he was looking for clearly as it was a great distance away.

Exalon wasn’t the only one. The heavenly realm was big but it definitely wasn’t as big as the main universe itself.

Practically every lion and lioness still in heaven felt the aura for themselves.

Compared to before when Alora had just crossed over into heaven and not every lion could pay full attention to that short event.

This time, it was deliberate and unhidden. More than four seconds had passed and they could still feel the continuous emission of the pulse of Law.

*CRACK!*

As stable as the space of heaven was, it couldn’t withstand the sudden movements of many powerful lions stirring from their inactive state.

The pulse caused a unanimous standstill among the lions and lion kings.

All eyes turned to the source of the pulse, wherever it was, some had already begun moving.

Meanwhile, Alora stood in front of Pagast with a serious expression on her face.

Her blue eyes had now turned golden and sharp, looking down at Pagast as though he were a pest.

Alora’s face was neutral, but her eyes held contempt mixed with curiosity.

Her shoulders were relaxed as she subconsciously kept her hands behind her back.

Pagast saw Alora’s change in demeanor and instantly knew that something was wrong.

The coldness Alora showed was different from before. Before, he could still see traces of familiarity and hesitation in his daughter’s eyes.

Now, it seemed like he was looking at a total stranger, a really audacious stranger.

No, Pagast felt like he was the stranger, it felt like Alora was looking at him for the first time.

Those dangerously calm eyes. This was someone who could kill him just because she felt like it and without remorse.

And that aura...

That pulse...

Pagast didn’t want to believe it, he refused to believe it and threw the idea to the back of his mind.

Alora’s aura was now that of a tier 6 lioness and it was ferociously thick.

Pagast felt imaginary weights in his shoulders and his cold skin began producing drops of sweat.

"Pagast..." Alora spoke, no longer referring to him as her father.

Pagast frowned, unable to make sense of what was happening. Had his toxic words pushed Alora so far that she broke and achieved this power?

Alora continued, "...Why do you have Destruction Essence that belongs to the Dragons?"

Alora’s question made Pagast’s frown deepen. Not just because of the question but because Shawty and the other Lion Queens were listening to this.

Although the Lion Queens were deeply surprised by the sudden turn of events with Alora, they didn’t interfere just yet.

Alora had already explained to them this phenomenon before and they were able to recognize the pattern with the pulse emission.

Surely, this was the work of the one and only Primordial Lion.

Even they felt the oppressive aura and could not help but employ extra caution.

When they heard the question directed at Pagast, their moods instantly shifted.

Pagast felt multiple piercing gazes focus on him all at once, each of them coming from a tier 6 entity.

"Pagast, answer me," Alora pressed, releasing her hands from her back and taking a powerful step forward.

*BOOM!*

Golden ice spread out from Alora’s feet, encasing the whole hall in its golden splendor. It was as pretty as it was beautiful.

For a brief moment, there was a look of fascination in Alora’s eyes. It looked as if this was her first time controlling the power of frost.

Technically, it was...

Golden ice formed around Pagast’s feet, keeping him bound to the ground.

Pagast felt cold, he truly felt cold. This cold was terrifying and heavy.

"Alora, what are you doing? If you don’t want to come with me, just say so..." Pagast said as he tried to break free from the golden ice.

"ANSWER ME!"

*BOOM!*

Alora’s dainty fist struck Pagast right on his nose. The sound of bones cracking reverberated across the pyramid.

The attack was so sudden, so unexpected, it was too fast, and it was too powerful.

The ground covered in golden ice shattered as Pagast’s body was sent crashing through the pyramid walls.

His body shot back like a rocket, leaving showers of blood that spewed from his broken nose.

The hall was destroyed, the walls blasted out by the overflowing Conquering Essence.

Pagast’s body finally stopped after crashing into the surface of another mini planet.

The rocky surface was shattered, and spider web-like cracks spread out, visible from afar.

The hundreds of shuttles outside the controlled space of the Fanged Flower Alliance headquarters stopped moving, turning their observation runes toward the white figure.

Silence, complete silence.

Shawty and the Lion Queens didn’t know what to say or how to react at this time.

Alora’s attack was so sudden and so destructive that it shocked them to their core.

Wasn’t this supposed to be a talk between father and daughter? The onlookers thought.

Why was Pagast then embedded into a mini planet?

The cause of this, Alora, walked out of the pyramid, taking steady and powerful steps. Her eyes glowed gold with detached annoyance.

She stood at the edge of the shattered pyramid wall which was trying to mend itself.

"You like this, don’t you?" ’Alora’ muttered to herself, sensing the satisfaction levels of the body rising tremendously.

"I might kill him," Alora said to herself again. It seems like she was talking to someone or something within her.

"No, I’m not asking for your permission, I’m stating the fact. I MIGHT kill him," Alora said.

She then raised her head and placed her hand at the edge of the healing metal wall.

The metal wall groaned as it was forced to stay put. The healing couldn’t proceed because of Alora’s hand standing in the way.

She walked out of the pyramid, standing on the sloping side with elegance and grace.

Alora’s new golden eyes settled on Pagast’s distant sorry figure.

Pagast, finally getting himself together, crawled out of the hole he created. His powerful arms and crystal claws dug him out until he stood at the rough edge of his crater.

He looked up, seeing the residential mini planet above him.

This was what he had wanted, for Alora to attack him and for her to give him a reason to retaliate. He hadn’t spoken about her mother like that just to enjoy the moment.

Even his attempt to ask her to come back home with him was carefully calculated to provoke Alora into touching him.

As long as he could transfer the Destruction Essence he had in his body into hers, the rest would be history.

Not only would he be obeying his master, he would also be removing a thorn in his side and a threat to his future.

He had achieved that, and Alora had attacked him.

But he wasn’t happy.

Pain.

Pagast felt serious pain. A headache that he had never experienced before, that was what he was feeling.

He didn’t even have the chance to direct the Destruction Essence into Alora’s body. Since when did Alora become so bold and aggressive?

"Alora..." Pagast chuckled as he wiped the blood from his rapidly healing nose and lips with the back of his hand. The blood was smeared all over the edge of his lips, giving him a chaotic jester appearance.

"...Do you realize you just hit your father?" Pagast asked, half-stunned and half-cautious.

The fact that Alora had sent him flying with one hit did not go over his head. He narrowed his eyes, some guesses began to creep into his mind.

Alora shook her head, "Pagast, do not make me ask again. Why do you have the Destruction Essence of the dragons?" She asked.

It almost seemed as if she asked daring Pagast to ignore her questions. She wanted Pagast to give ’him’ a reason to destroy this father of hers.

Pagast chuckled, realizing that a lot of lions were present and had probably heard Alora’s question.

This was bad...for him.

Pagast felt hundreds of powerful gazes focus on his body all at once and he noticed some magic shuttles closing in on this place.

Realizing that his plan was not going to work anymore, Pagast burst out into a laughter that echoed sorrow and defeat.

"Fine, you caught me!"
