Reincarnated As A Lion In Another World

Chapter 412: Am I Not Your Father

The universe was mysterious as it was nigh-infinite.

The heavenverse continued on its self-imposed directive, continuing on as though certain creatures were not wrestling to take control of its laws.

In one part of the heavenverse, the Leonine Heavenly Realm, this place had been the hub of a lot of tension and underlying currents occurring in different parts of the universe.

At the headquarters of the Fanged Flower Alliance.

Pagast’s fleet was still parked outside the headquarters, floating motionlessly a few hundred thousand kilometers away from the mini residential planet.

He was still here.

He and his small fleet of a hundred shuttles of different models remained positioned in the multicolored void, waiting for the one they were here to see.

They had remained here for more than one year, that was really impressive.

Pagast was a tier 6 lioness and Alora was a tier 5 lioness, both had varying levels of antisocial tendencies on the narcissist spectrum.

Staying out for one whole year while not moving anywhere was not impossible for them at all.

But the fact that Pagast was willing to sit still for one year just to see his daughter was something that garnered a lot of attention.

And Alora seemed reluctant to see her father, causing those observing from the sidelines to sense a lot of drama underway.

However, on this fateful day, after keeping her father waiting for one year, Alora had finally agreed to see Pagast.

The residential planet was opened up and only one shuttle was allowed to enter inside.

Only Pagast’s cruise-model shuttle was allowed to enter.

Many wondered what could be so important that Pagast couldn’t have gone and come back some other time.

Was he so obsessed with his daughter that he would wait in front of her gate for one year?

They would soon find out.

//////

The star system close to Planet Kareem’s star system.

Inside the arkship, the chamber world used to store some of the magic shuttles.

Kael stood with his hands behind his back. He donned a white trench coat that increased the weight of his regal presence.

Beside him, Bibi and Marcus stood, observing all that was happening.

"Father, what are we supposed to be looking for? The inhabitants of this place all look alike. How are we to know which one is the Primordial Wolf?"

Ozia asked as he levitated over to his father. He was big for a five-year-old but Kael was still very much taller than him. He felt that he had to keep levitating if he wanted to maintain good communication with tall people like his father.

"That’s why you’re all going with Aunt Olivia and Hanna, their power of good fortune should be enough..."

Kael spoke, referring to Olivia and her daughter, Hanna.

Both had the powers of Fortune Lionesses. Kael doubted if this strangely familiar civilization had any inkling of how to manipulate luck. And even if they did, they wouldn’t be strong enough to influence Olivia at all.

Olivia was a tier 4 fortune lioness with access to a Conquering Essence pool. Among the general lion society in heaven, tier 4 might not be a tier to be proud of.

But here, at this place and time, Olivia would practically be invincible on Planet Kareem.

In front of Kael, N’bayé’s personal shuttle was being prepped for takeoff. They had decided to use N’bayé’s shuttle as the primary vehicle for this operation since it had been heavily modified by N’bayé herself and was very efficient in different situations.

Four commissioned shuttles were also being prepared with fifty tier 3 creatures from different castes assigned to them.

Wolves, foxes, snakes, bears, and vultures were the creatures chosen for this subtle invasion.

That was a total of two hundred tier 3 wolves. Kael could have sent more, he could have sent half a million if he wanted to.

But he didn’t, N’bayé was firmly against using overwhelming force as she was more interested in studying this isolated civilization without getting their attention.

Anything that would disrupt their mode of everyday life was very much frowned upon.

N’bayé planned to try and blend in, whatever that meant.

Kael was personally interested in studying this civilization that reminded him of his past life so he naturally agreed.

Besides, each of his consorts was equivalent to a city-destroying bomb when they were not holding back.

N’bayé herself could probably destroy a provinces and states of nations on Planet Kareem.

Their main objective was to find the Primordial Wolf alive. Anything they did beyond that was under N’bayé’s unofficial supervision.

N’bayé, Olivia, Zabita, Priya, Eidel, Ruda, Chloe, and Diane were the consorts to be going for this first batch.

Nalii was staying back to serve as a managing force in place of Kael. Katari was not going to leave Kael’s side just for some excursion. She would follow Kael on the second batch.

Ozia and all of Kael’s children were going too. It was simply termed as ’gaining’ experience.

As it was now, it was clear that the first batch just wanted to integrate themselves into these so-called human societies as they tried to find the Primordial Wolf.

It was a fun thing to do, in a way.

Commander Bibi looked at all of this with hidden discomfort. Him being a muscle head, he could not see the point of all this.

He had seen the images that had been captured from the planet and knew for sure that they were absolutely incapable of defending themselves against them.

They did not even detect any traces of a high tier creatures at all, not even a single tier 3 aura was detected.

Kael wouldn’t even need to use his full force to bring down the whole economy of Planet Kareem.

He really couldn’t understand what was going on in Kael and N’bayé’s minds that made them so interested in playing games with these humans.

Perhaps, if Planet Kareem were different, Kael wouldn’t hesitate to fish out the Primordial Wolf with aggressive intent, even if it meant burning down the whole planet.

Kael ignored the thoughts he was reading from Bibi. He watched as his consorts, children, and subordinates got into their respective shuttles.

The breeze blew fiercely as five shuttles ascended into the sky. The ends of Kael’s white trench coat billowed due to the harsh wind.

Marcus had his hands folded against his chest. A black screen appeared in front of him showing his conversations with some vultures.

A wide spatial portal opened up in the sky, allowing the five shuttles to fly out of the arkship and into the starry void.

"Your Majesty, why do we have to wait? Can’t we just go with them?" Bibi asked.

"I’m testing something..." That was all Kael said. His words carried a tone of finality as if he no longer wanted to be questioned.

If Kael was correct about his guess, some nations could use their orbital satellites to track the movement of objects close to the planet’s space and beyond.

Once N’bayé and the others made it too close, it was hard to tell if they would be discovered or not.

Kael was testing the level of technology the inhabitants of Planet Kareem had. How strong they were and how far they had advanced compared to his Earth.

They may not be able to pose a serious threat to N’bayé and the other consorts, but they could learn.

Although Planet Kareem did not have high-level creatures who have been evolving, they had technology. Kael knew just how terrible the power of technology could be.

The best way to put it was that the first batch was a probe.

Kael wasn’t in the mood to explain all his reasons to Bibi.

Kael turned to Marcus, "Make sure the vultures and the wolves stick to the main objective.

My consorts and children and liable to get carried away in the process,"

Marcus nodded and began giving missions to the vultures through the Vulture System.

"What do you want?" Alora asked, a look of boredom on her face.

She was ready to leave the Fanged Flower Alliance headquarters to handle some business and visit some potential assets.

She didn’t want Pagast following her around like a fly so she could only reluctantly receive him.

Hopefully, once they had talked, Pagast would leave her alone.

"You’re becoming quite unpleasant, Alora," That was the first thing Pagast said to Alora as soon as he settled down in the hall.

They discussed in a hall inside one of the pyramids and were watched over by multiple Lion Queens.

"What?" Alora’s white eyebrows shot up as she didn’t expect her father to immediately start scolding her.

"Yes, do you think because you’ve met the Primordial Lion that you can act so arrogantly?

And what was that pulse thing? You talked about it with your ’new’ friends but never bothered to talk about it with me.

Am I not your father?"

Pagast seemed to be deeply upset, which confused and also infuriated Alora at the same time.

There was a way that Pagast was deliberately speaking that just got on Alora’s nerves, it triggered something inside her.

Still, she made an effort to keep herself calm.

The discussion had barely reached the middle and Alora’s aura was already flying high. She couldn’t find any sense in Pagast’s sudden piercing words and that was what gave it an element of confusion and surprise.

Pagast was unmoved by Alora’s overflowing aura. Instead, he frowned.

"What? You’re trying to threaten me with that aura? Please.

You act so aloof but deep down, I know what you are! You’re just like your mother..."

*TSH!!*

Alas, before he could finish the sentence, Alora had already attacked.
