Chapter 327: A Daughter’s Trauma
"What is it?" Pagast asked, seeing his daughter momentarily distracted by the golden screen that flashed in front of her face.
"Nothing," Alora said, mentally swiping away the private message hurriedly, not even reading it to see what it was about.
She sent a referral to her father in front of her, causing a golden screen to appear in front of his face.
This was the second time Pagast was seeing this semi-transparent golden screen. The first time he saw it was when Exalon had sent a referral to everyone at King Larvis’s pyramid at the same time.
At that time, he just ignored it, he wasn’t the type to rashly accept anything, even if it was from the Primordial Lion himself.
Now that he was seeing it again, he hesitated. The look on Alora’s face a few moments ago was in his mind.
Clearly, Alora had seen something that shocked her greatly. Something that was more relevant to her than her own father...apparently.
’Hmm,’ Once Pagast’s train of thought reached his level, it couldn’t be helped anymore. It remained stuck in his mind. He was curious, what was more interesting than his presence at this moment?
Pagast was not delusional to think that he was the most important person in anyone’s life, nor did he think everyone would grovel at his feet.
But this was his daughter, some of the behaviors she exhibited were because of the trauma he had instilled in her as she grew. She might despise and fear him, but it also meant that he should be the most influential entity in her life.
It was okay if she got distracted once in a while, but her subconscious would eventually turn around to revolve around his actions, directly or indirectly.
If she were far from him, it was understandable. But he was standing right in front of her. Whatever she had seen had enough influence for her to forget about maintaining her composure in front of him.
