Chapter 326: Pagast
"Do you want me to stay with you?" The fiery-eyed woman asked as she stood up from the rocky ground. Her two furry ears atop her dreadlocks twitched slightly.
Alora shook her head, maintaining her cold expression, "No, I’ll see him alone," She said.
"Thank you," Alora added, remembering to show strategic kindness.
The fiery-eyed woman merely nodded, not taking the words to heart. Alora would need more experience if she planned on deceiving someone like her any time soon.
She had literally grown up and trained in the lion civilization, and these subtle political games and power plays were known to her like the back of her hand.
However, she would not call these games out because as it was, no one was ever sure when someone else was being genuine or just playing mind games.
Her body burst into a pillar of flames as she blasted off the ground, flying toward another mini-planet and following the path of the gigantic chains.
Alora sat in silence, contemplating something. The golden screen of the lion system flashed in front of her face, showing her the new messages in the public chat room.
Messages were appearing and disappearing at the speed of light. Alora could only settle her focus on a few messages at once to get the gist of what was going on.
They seemed to be discussing the latest feature of the system, the Lionhood Bar.
"Alora," A deep soft voice came from behind her, causing her body to flinch slightly.
Alora didn’t look back to check who it was, she recognized the owner of the voice to be her father, Pagast.
