Chapter 84: Taking Off Your Clothes!
"Damon!" Olivia was surprised. "You have returned already!" She had yet to eat all the delicacies on the table.
She looked at them with reluctance. Damon’s eyes narrowed at it. She did not want to leave the company of a woman who was busy with other women a few hours ago!
She was just like her sister! Leaning on a man for help and a better future. His knight told him about the file she had brought with her. She wanted investment and convinced Edward for that!
His face hardened at once and his voice turned sharp.
"Yes! It is already late. Any later and we will not return before midnight." his curt voice made her flinch. The fear ingrained in her bones made her stand up instantly.
"Alright! Then we should leave." Edward watched her reluctance with amusement. They had yet to share the details. He would not mind spending more time with her.
"Lord Aykroyd, the lady seems to be reluctant to leave." He smiled softly, his voice had an air of nobility and a soothing effect on the listener. "How about you leave alone? I will escort her later personally." Damon’s eyes narrowed on Olivia taking her every reaction.
As Edward proposed, her eyes shone and she looked relieved. Did she not want to leave with him? Or she wanted to spend more time with this man!? The thought made him frown for some reason.
No! He must be wary because she was shrew. She must be planning something behind his back.
