"I will provide you with anything you need!" his heart raced. "Even if you will not get more successful than her, you should at least do what you desire." His voice was so soft and soothing as if he would do anything for her.
The maids could not help but steal another glance at the woman. She had a good temperament. She even thanked the knight who had brought her here and she did not look haughty. But she lacked funds! Which noble lacked funds?
Would such a girl be chosen by her majesty?
"Olivia, you should try this. This is the speciality of the royal chef." Edward knew what the maids were thinking. There must be one or two maids that were sent by his father and mother. He needed to leave a good image of their pair in front of them.
Hearing him, the maid came forward to cut the pie. But Edward raised his hand and stopped her. He personally cut the piece of pie for her and placed it on her plate.
Olivia blushed sweetly and played with her hair looking around. Her rosy cheeks gleamed under sunlight. Edward’s heart skipped a beat and for some reason his mood improved.
"Thank you, your highness." her soft voice was enchanting. For some reason, watching her eat felt so soothing. Her eyes beamed as she tasted it and with a twinkle in her eyes, she took another bite with joy.
Her smile must be infectious, he found himself smiling with her.
"I will follow your idea, your highness. If the food prepared by a royal chef is served in my salon, it is going to be the most popular place in the empire." She laughed as if she could already imagine all the noble women sitting beside her eating these pies.
